Student answer (Band 5.5)

The education after school inreased in many country because collages and universities are now offering a range of courses that you can study. This students to get themselves enrolled in a degree that they have intrest in .It is indeed a positive development so many young people get skills and knowledge for many feilds that could help to get more jobs in every feild of life.

This is a positive development for students who left their studies because there were no such subjects that compile with their interests. It is hard for anyone to tudy a subject that is not related to their intrest while if you have interest in something it would be easy for you to take interest in studies and you can master them. For example , if a student has interest in plants then he should study in botany field.the help him to learn thins about plants better. As a result , We can have master fully trained gardened in future by the time he graduates.there might be some invention in feed and seeds of crops. It could lead to more prosperity and development in botany.

The other reason why it is a positive development because it can reduce the illitracy rate of the country. The more the people get educated the less crimes would happen. When people get educated they handle situations in a differnt way. They acknowledge things in a better and a positive way that leads to open mindness in society. For example , people before have consevative thoughts about black people. but with the passage of time many people get educated and raised their voice in their favor. As a result , people get more use to with them and leaved thier conservative thoughts.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the opening and conclusion: you consider the wider choice of courses and increased participation a positive development. You give two relevant reasons—students can study subjects that interest them, and education may encourage more open-minded attitudes—and support them with examples about botany and changing views of Black people. This fully addresses the task and shows some development beyond simply stating an opinion. However, the botany example becomes difficult to follow, particularly the link from studying plants to trained gardeners, crop inventions and prosperity. The claim that education reduces crime is also asserted rather than explained. To strengthen the response further, develop each cause-and-effect link clearly and make the examples more precise and directly connected to the benefits of expanded higher education.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a concluding statement. Topic sentences such as “This is a positive development for students” and “The other reason” help readers identify the main points, while examples and results are generally placed in the relevant paragraphs. However, progression within the first body paragraph becomes unclear as the discussion moves from interest in botany to gardening, inventions and prosperity. Some links are mechanical or imprecise, including repeated “As a result” and the transition “while if you have interest.” The final sentence is also incomplete, so the conclusion does not fully bring the argument together. Use clearer links between claims and examples, and finish with a complete summary of your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “degree,” “botany,” “illiteracy rate,” “conservative thoughts” and “development.” There are also attempts to express more abstract ideas, such as education leading to “open mindness in society.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response harder to understand: “inreased,” “intrest,” “illitracy,” and “consevative” are examples. Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “master fully trained gardened” and “get more use to with them.” Aim to learn accurate collocations and word forms, and choose precise expressions for the intended meaning—for example, “become skilled gardeners” and “become more accepting.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional structures (“if a student has interest in plants”) and cause-and-effect clauses (“The more the people get educated…”). These attempts show some range, but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “This students to get themselves enrolled” lacks a complete verb structure, while “the help him” and “there might be some invention” show problems with sentence construction and agreement. Articles, plurals and punctuation also need attention, as in “in botany field” and the inconsistent capitalisation after full stops. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles and punctuation. More accurate control of these patterns would make your complex ideas easier to follow.
