Student answer (Band 5.5)
In many coutries these days, the number of people continuing their education after school increased, and the number of courses available at universites and colleges has also increased,
yes offcourse, it is a positive development. Now people know that education is very important for success in life. So, parents advice their children to continue their study after school. As a result of which youth is more educated as compared to past.
My elder brother when he was in school, he wanted to discontinue his study but my father ask him to go to college. He stutied finance in college and now he is a manager in a bank.
In my opinion the range of courses increases at universitis and colleges is also a positive development. It allows the students to make a choice in which field they want to go for study. They can study in course in which they are intrseted. This kind of development produces experts in different fields. Which in future can surve their country. People have more career opportunities when they have a wide range of courses availability. Need of people in different departments can be fullfill.
On of my friends after college, he want to study cyber crime, but unfortunately the univesity in our city does not offer this subject. So, he has to go to another city to study this. Studying in another city cost him more. He has to work part time to meet his needs, but unluckly he has to left the course because he cannot pay the fee. University in our city now also offers this course and two of cousins are studying Cyber Crime in it. So, when an university offers more couses it has a postive affect on people lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the start: you consider both increased participation in further education and the wider course range positive. You address both parts of the prompt and support them with relevant examples, especially your brother’s career and your friend’s difficulty accessing a cyber-crime course. These examples make the response more specific and help it meet the task well. To develop the argument further, explain more fully how the examples demonstrate benefits beyond the individuals involved. For instance, the claim that more courses produce experts who can serve their country is relevant but not expanded. The response covers the task effectively, though some ideas are less fully developed than others, and the broader implications could be clearer.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an opening position, discussion of continued education, a paragraph on course choice, and examples supporting the points. The examples generally follow the claims they illustrate, so the reader can understand the main line of argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes uneven, and several links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “As a result of which” does not connect smoothly to the preceding sentence, while “Which in future can serve their country” is an incomplete sentence rather than a clear continuation. The final example also contains several events in quick succession. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports; vary linking expressions and check that references such as “this” have an unmistakable meaning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “continuing their education,” “career opportunities,” “experts,” and “part-time.” The examples also give you opportunities to use relevant terms such as “finance” and “cyber crime.” However, the range is limited and some wording is repetitive, particularly repeated references to “study,” “course,” and “positive development.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, including “coutries,” “universites,” “intrseted,” and “postive affect,” which reduce accuracy and can distract the reader. Aim to use more precise phrases for educational choices and outcomes, and proofread spelling carefully. More accurate collocations, such as “pursue further study” and “meet the cost of tuition,” would make the argument clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate your main points using a mixture of short statements and some attempts at longer structures, including cause-and-effect sentences such as “As a result of which youth is more educated as compared to past.” However, the longer constructions are often faulty, and errors in tense, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur throughout. For example, “my father ask him” needs past-tense agreement, and “On of my friends after college, he want to study” has an unclear structure and inconsistent tense. “Which in future can serve their country” is a fragment. These errors sometimes make the reader pause, even though the intended meaning is usually recoverable. Practise building accurate complex sentences with subordinate clauses, and check each sentence for a clear subject, verb, and complete thought.
