Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider the growth in further education and course choice a positive development, and the conclusion reinforces this view. You give relevant reasons, especially that a wider choice can help students identify their interests and future careers. However, the discussion focuses mainly on course variety and career opportunities; the increase in people continuing education after school is addressed less fully. Several claims, such as students choosing education instead of jobs, are asserted rather than explained with a specific example or fuller reasoning. To strengthen the response, develop each main point with a concrete illustration and explain more directly how both trends benefit individuals or society.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from the availability of courses to their possible effect on students’ choices, and linking expressions such as “Additionally,” “In result” and “In conclusion” help signal stages in the argument. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some flexibility in paragraphing. However, connections can feel mechanical, and the second and third paragraphs repeat the idea that more choices create career opportunities without clearly separating their purposes. Some references, such as “it” in the conclusion, are not fully precise. Give each body paragraph a distinct focus and use clearer links between claims and explanations.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to education and future work, including “wide variety,” “core interest,” “higher education” and “educational institutes.” However, the range is limited by repeated use of “wide,” “opportunities,” “students” and “career,” and several word-choice or spelling errors are noticeable. Examples include “carrier” for “career,” “oppertunities,” “upcomming” and “immence”; these can distract the reader and sometimes make a phrase harder to interpret. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “in today's time” and “bright future and carrier path.” Build a more precise set of topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations carefully so your meaning is consistently easy to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause with “because of” and a contrast between past and present. The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur across the response. For example, “the large range of subjects and courses are being offerend” has a subject–verb agreement problem and an incorrect verb form; “which infact opening” lacks a finite verb, and “wide ranges of courses helps student” has agreement and plural errors. The conclusion also contains “it a very positive,” where the verb is missing. Work on complete clauses, subject–verb agreement, articles and plural forms, then proofread each sentence for a main verb. This will make your varied structures more controlled.
