Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, in many countries students are moving towards their education after the school has increased, and rhe number of courses present at universities and colleges has also expanded. I think this is a postivie development to the society. I will explain in the upcoming essay.

Many people from the different countries are looking forwards after their education in schools because of the growing society and world the companies need more professional and skilled-full people in their organization.Eduation is the key to success and development of the society and for the youth it helps to understand the situation and gives them a sense of ability to solve the problem by own. For instant the people are valued and respected by their education status so inter course helps the students to gain new knowledge about everything.

Another main reason of increasing the courses at the colleges and universities to get the knowledge releated to the interest of the student and their field. Colleges provide many different courses for science, commerce, and for medicine it helps the students to gain some basics of the subject they are persuring for their future. Universities provided different sections of intrested subjects like engineering,bba,b.com it helps to choose a career path for the students in the future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you consider the growth in further education and course choice positive. You give relevant reasons, including employers’ need for skilled workers and students’ ability to choose subjects linked to future careers. However, the discussion only partly develops the task. The first body paragraph makes broad claims about education and respect, while the second lists subject areas without explaining in detail how a wider range benefits students or society. The conclusion introduces economic growth but does not support this point in the essay. To strengthen the response, explain each main benefit with a specific example and connect it directly to the increase in both participation and course variety.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around different benefits, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument reasonably easy to follow. Some linking is also attempted through phrases such as “Another main reason” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are joined together without clear relationships, particularly in the first body paragraph. The opening sentence is also difficult to follow, which weakens the introduction’s role. Use clearer topic sentences, separate distinct points, and make links between claims and examples explicit. More precise referencing would also help readers see how each sentence supports the central argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to education and employment, including “professional,” “skilled,” “career path,” and “development.” These choices help communicate the essay’s main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less clear or natural. Examples include “skilled-full people,” “looking forwards after their education,” and “economically growth”; “inter course” also appears unclear in context. Spelling errors such as “Eduation,” “releated,” and “persuring” are noticeable. Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing higher education, employment, and social benefits, and check spelling and collocations carefully during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the essay’s general meaning can usually be understood. However, control is inconsistent: some sentences contain several grammatical problems, and attempts to connect clauses are often faulty. For example, “Another main reason of increasing the courses … to get the knowledge” lacks a complete, well-formed structure, while “Universities provided different sections … it helps” shifts tense and joins clauses without suitable punctuation. There are also issues with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “the development … and the range … has a positive impact.” Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and check agreement, tense consistency, and punctuation when combining ideas.
