Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you consider the increase in further education positive, and you give relevant reasons, including improved employment prospects, contributions to the economy and benefits for children. These points address the topic, but the response only partly explores the full development described in the question: the wider range of courses receives little direct discussion. Some supporting ideas are also unclear or insufficiently explained, such as the claim that education reduces unnecessary conflicts and the point about social media influencing study choices. To strengthen the response, explain how course variety benefits different learners and develop each main reason with a specific, clearly connected example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally group related points, and signposts such as “To commence with,” “Moreover” and “To conclude” help show the direction of the essay. However, linking is sometimes mechanical or repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “Moreover” and “As a result.” Some connections between ideas are unclear: the discussion moves from social media to respect, then to education costs and salaries without explaining the progression. References such as “it” and “they” can also be difficult to follow. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make the relationship between each claim and its supporting explanation explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “higher studies,” “quality of education,” “corporate companies” and “economy of the nation,” and some choices communicate the intended ideas. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural expressions make parts of the essay difficult to understand. Examples include “upfront himself by his study,” “an exemplary amount to spent” and “fascinated towards the further study.” Spelling errors such as “enrollement,” “pakages” and “litracy” are also noticeable. Build a more reliable set of phrases for education and its outcomes, and check spelling and collocations carefully. Prefer precise, natural wording over ambitious expressions whose meaning is unclear.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses to explain reasons, for example, “A person has good education, so he gain the respect from community.” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and complex attempts are often faulty. Errors in articles, agreement and verb forms occur throughout, as in “an positive change,” “he gain,” and “parents are well educated, so they tech their child.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, with several run-on sequences that make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using controlled subordinate clauses. Check articles, subject–verb agreement and punctuation when editing.
