Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

You state a clear overall view—“I believe it to be extremely beneficial”—and begin to introduce a relevant reason by saying higher education can play an important role in people’s lives. However, the response addresses the topic only minimally: it does not explain the benefits in a complete, understandable way, discuss the increased range of courses, or develop a supporting example. The phrase “Take an example” is left unfinished, so the reader receives no evidence for your claim. The response is also substantially below the required 250 words, which leaves the position and ideas underdeveloped. To improve, explain two specific benefits, connect each to the question, and support them with a complete example before reaching a conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is an attempt to organise the response: an opening gives your position, followed by a paragraph beginning “There are multiple benefits.” The use of “Although” and “Not only…but also” also shows an effort to connect ideas. However, the progression is difficult to follow because several thoughts are incomplete or joined unclearly. For example, “Not only because…” has no matching main clause, and “as students choose to continue their studies after school” does not complete the preceding point. The final “Take an example” also stops the development abruptly. Use complete paragraphs with one clear purpose each, and make sure every linking phrase connects complete, logically related sentences.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “higher education,” “courses,” “benefits,” and “development,” which helps establish the subject. There is also an effort to express evaluation through “extremely beneficial.” However, spelling and word-form errors are frequent and sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to identify, as in “pursing,” “significant,” “postive,” “eduaction,” and “rassnge.” Some phrasing is also unclear or unnatural, particularly “extremely decided fort good option in life” and “it save time not the time waste.” At this level, the vocabulary is limited and errors can strain the reader. Focus first on accurate spelling and familiar collocations, then use a few precise terms such as “career prospects” or “specialised courses” where relevant.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts more than simple statements, including a concessive opening with “Although” and the “Not only…but also” construction. These attempts show some awareness of sentence variety, but control is inconsistent. “Not only because…” is a fragment, while “There are multiple benefits associated with eduation.firstly” lacks appropriate sentence separation and punctuation. In “higher eduaction plays an important role in peoiple lives can be concider,” the clauses are joined without a clear grammatical relationship, and “it save time” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. The unfinished final phrase further limits accuracy. Practise building complete sentences around one main clause, checking agreement and articles, and using punctuation to separate each idea.
