Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a clear positive position, stating that wider course choice helps students pursue better occupations and lifestyles. Relevant points include gaining specialist knowledge beyond school and employers selecting candidates for qualifications and skills. However, these ideas remain general: the employer example is hypothetical and does not explain how expanded course options benefit students or society in a specific way. The response therefore addresses the question only partially, with limited development and support. The conclusion repeats the positive view rather than adding a developed implication. Also, the response is 15 words below the required minimum. To strengthen the argument, explain one or two benefits in more depth and support them with a concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an identifiable introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion, and its overall direction is positive. Connectors such as “Moreover,” “For instance” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression between ideas is not always clear: the paragraph beginning “In these modern society” combines the general importance of education with the reason course choice has grown, while later paragraphs repeat the link between courses, employment and lifestyle. Some transitions feel mechanical, and the reference in “In order to achieve” is unclear. Organise each body paragraph around one distinct benefit, then explain and illustrate it before moving on. This would make the sequence easier to follow and reduce repetition.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to education and employment, including “specialised occupations,” “academic knowledge,” “qualification” and “infrastructure.” These choices show an effort to discuss the topic beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited and several word-choice and collocation errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “rapid growth of individual students proceed in pursuing” and “better source of income.” Spelling errors are also frequent, including “pursueing,” “modren,” “resons” and “qulification,” which distract from the message. Aim for accurate, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. Using a smaller set of well-controlled expressions would communicate your ideas more clearly than attempting many uncertain forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “courses … which helps” and a conditional-style explanation beginning “In order to achieve.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the relationships between ideas hard to follow. For example, “There is rapid growth of individual students proceed” lacks a workable sentence structure, while “the present generation are” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The opening also runs several clauses together without clear punctuation. Practise building complete sentences with one main clause and then adding a correctly formed subordinate clause. Check agreement, articles and sentence boundaries during revision.
