Student answer (Band 6.5)
I believe that increment of students pursuing their education after school and availability of courses and colleges is certainly a positive development. Having said that, mandatory and elective courses should be handled in accordance to the major of a certain student and no one should be imposed to study any particular course which has no alignment with their major.
The number of school, colleges and universities are increasing with an ample amount of courses which is beneficial for any society because people can choose their favourite subject now as the subjects are not limited anymore and therefore they can use their passion to work into a good job in the future. One could get broke and become uninterested because of limitation of subjects earlier and then choose something as profession which they never wanted to become. For example- a student who has a certain liking to music will definitely prefer music over any other subject. As a result, availability of courses has opened doors to many ambitious people who were on the verge of unemployment due to limitation of their major. This initiative of different countries further inspired students to pursue education after school rather than having a blind shot at business or any other job. This way they can become employed in their field of interest and contribute to the community through their work.
Increment of students after school and availability of courses is definitely a good sign but we have to look carefully into mandatory and elective courses as well. Universities shouldn't assign a non departmental course which is way too different from their major or else this can create a mental fatigue on the student and thus the impact of it can be observed in their grades. For instance- If a student of computer science is assigned a non departmental courses of bangladesh history and politics then obviously he will face hard time studying that and won't have much time to invest in his preferable subject. As a matter of fact, his overall grades will be dipped down and these availability of courses will bring his downfall. Therefore, elective courses should be much easier and closer to the major of the respective student.
In a nutshell, student increment after school and courses availability is definitely a big positive sign. However, a potential drawback would be the mismanagement of mandatory and elective courses which can trigger mental health hazard as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the opening: increased participation and course choice are positive, although course requirements need careful management. You support the main benefit with a relevant explanation of how students can study subjects they enjoy and pursue related work, and the music example helps illustrate this. The concern about unrelated compulsory courses is also relevant and developed through the computer-science example. However, the discussion of the growth in the number of institutions is less distinct from the discussion of course choice, and claims such as students being “on the verge of unemployment” are not fully explained. To strengthen the response, distinguish the effects of wider access from those of greater course variety and develop the examples with more precise reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting the benefit and a qualification, and a concluding summary. The progression from greater choice to employment prospects is understandable, and linking phrases such as “As a result” and “For instance” help show relationships between ideas. Your position also remains consistent. At times, however, connections feel mechanical or the references are unclear. For example, “these availability of courses” does not clearly refer to a specific idea, while “This way” and “As a matter of fact” add little precision. The second body paragraph also repeats the opening claim before introducing the drawback. Use more precise referencing and make each paragraph advance the argument rather than restating it.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary to discuss education, choice and employment, including “pursuing their education,” “availability of courses,” “mandatory and elective courses,” and “contribute to the community.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “mental fatigue” and “ambitious people.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “increment of students,” “get broke,” “blind shot at business,” and “grades will be dipped down.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, but they reduce precision and naturalness. Aim to learn common academic collocations and check whether a phrase expresses your intended meaning; for example, describe student numbers as increasing and grades as declining.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including conditional and relative clauses: “If a student of computer science is assigned…” and “a student who has a certain liking to music…”. Most ideas remain understandable, and you use subordination to explain causes and consequences. Some grammatical errors persist, particularly with subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals and sentence construction. For example, “The number of school, colleges and universities are increasing” has a singular subject with a plural verb, and “a non departmental courses” combines an article with a plural noun. In “he will face hard time,” an article is also needed. Review agreement and noun phrases, and proofread long sentences for punctuation and clause boundaries.
