Student answer (Band 5.5)

These day , number of people continuing there education after school has increased and range of courses available at university and college has also increased so , in this essay we discuss about it is positive development or negative development.

Earlier, there are too less population who studied after school and they preferred a job rather than studies. They don't know about course and event not to choose the best career for them.

Now. University and college have too many courses to study .To begin with advantage of this is that students have more options to learn new technology and also according to their intrest. For example- if a student want to learn about AI then he or she should have option to learn about AI. it also helps for not wasting a year to find a course according to intrest.

If we talk about Now in Schools so there are many options and guidance for students to build and choose their career options. in Modern Era, everyone must have to educated for making their life better. Hence, This is a positive development for a country because if a country is educated then it also have good life style or good mentality too make a development.

Therefore,it can be concluded that for any kind of development in a country should have a better education for every kind of people. Also its a positive development in a country to make everyone's life and made a healthier environment for that country people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a clear overall position that the increase in further education and course choice is positive, and you give relevant reasons: students can study areas such as AI, choose according to their interests, and contribute to a more educated country. However, the response only partly develops the task. The discussion focuses mainly on course choice and education’s general benefits, with little explanation of the increase in people continuing after school as a separate development. The claim that education creates a “good life style or good mentality” is broad and needs a specific explanation or example. To strengthen the response, explain how wider access to further study benefits individuals or society, and support each main point with a developed example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from a brief comparison with the past to advantages and a conclusion. Connectors such as “To begin with,” “For example,” and “Therefore” help signal the direction of ideas. However, progression is not consistently clear: the paragraph beginning “If we talk about Now in Schools” shifts from university and college courses to school guidance without explaining the connection. Some linking is mechanical, and the conclusion repeats the general claim about development rather than drawing together the reasons. Improve cohesion by giving each paragraph one clear focus, using pronouns and transitions to show how ideas relate, and avoiding abrupt shifts between education stages.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “courses,” “technology,” “career options,” and “development,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “too less population,” “too many courses to study,” and “good mentality.” Spelling errors in “intrest” and “educated” also reduce accuracy. These issues sometimes make the intended meaning less clear, particularly in the opening and the discussion of the past. Build a more precise vocabulary for education and its effects, and check spelling and natural word combinations. For example, describe course choice as “a wider range of programmes” and explain benefits as “improved career prospects” or “greater social development.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional example about a student who wants to study AI and a concluding sentence beginning “Therefore, it can be concluded.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence patterns, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation. Examples include “These day,” “there education,” “a student want,” and “a country … have.” The opening sentence also runs several ideas together, while inconsistent capitalisation and spacing make sentence boundaries harder to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and past-versus-present forms, and build longer sentences from correctly controlled clauses. Proofreading for full stops and commas would also make your meaning easier to follow.
