Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You state a clear overall view—“this innovation has a lot of positive ramifications”—and identify continued education and access to courses as relevant topics. However, the response only partially addresses whether this is a positive or negative development: it gives no developed explanation of the benefits, considers no disadvantages, and provides no specific supporting example. The claim that free courses support students is repeated rather than explained, and the opening largely restates the prompt. The response is also 106 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop the argument. To strengthen your response, explain two distinct effects, show how they benefit people or society, and support each with a concrete example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening gives your position, followed by a paragraph about students and education provision. Some linking expressions, including “From my perspective” and “for instance,” help signal the intended relationships between ideas. However, the response ends without a conclusion, and the second paragraph does not develop a clear sequence of claims and supporting details. The repeated point about free education makes progression feel circular, while “however” introduces no contrasting idea. The opening also repeats much of the task wording. Use separate paragraphs for distinct reasons, connect each reason to an explanation or example, and finish by restating your judgement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You show some range beyond basic vocabulary, using phrases such as “pursue their studies,” “academic results,” and “positive ramifications.” These choices communicate the general topic and your positive stance. However, the range is limited and some expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, which makes parts of the response difficult to interpret. For example, “the number of education sectors” does not clearly express the intended increase in participation, and “the proportion of people who want to continue their education the number of schools has increased” is confusing. There are also spelling and word-form errors, such as “prvoide.” Aim for precise education-related collocations and avoid repeating “increased” and “children”; proofreading will help make your meaning clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a relative clause in “people who want to continue their education.” The main ideas are generally recognisable, but control is uneven, and several sentence-level errors make the opening especially hard to follow. For example, “the number of students are interested” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “many countries who providing” lacks a correctly formed verb phrase. The sentence beginning “the proportion of people…” is also structurally incomplete or confused, and punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, as in “for instance” after a full stop and the doubled full stop at the end of the introduction. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and complete sentence patterns before adding more complex clauses.
