Nowadays, an increasing amount to students choose to pursue higher education after completing schools, while universities are also offering a wide range of courses. i strongly believe that was a positive development for students to enhace their skills, ablities.
One of the main benefits of this trend is higher education helps students to acquire speciased knowledge. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you consider the growth in higher education and course choice positive, and you give relevant reasons about specialist knowledge, career prospects and social contribution. The examples of technology, artificial intelligence and psychology help illustrate course choice. However, the ideas are only partly developed: the point about society’s progress is asserted rather than supported with a specific explanation or example, and the link between more courses and better outcomes could be explored further. The response also does not meet the required minimum length, which limits the space available to develop your arguments. Extend each main point with a concrete example and explain how it supports your view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate benefits, and the conclusion restates your position. Linking phrases such as “One of the main benefits,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. This organisation is effective, and the paragraphs each have a recognisable focus. To make the flow more consistently smooth, clarify how examples connect to the claims they illustrate and avoid abrupt shifts, particularly in the second body paragraph, where the list of sectors is followed by a new point about university skills. Use referencing and transitions to show these relationships rather than relying mainly on formulaic paragraph openers.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “higher education,” “competitive job market,” “academic qualifications,” “career paths” and “critical thinking.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and there is some attempt to use more specific terms. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “speciased,” “diserable,” “flexibity” and “backgrouns.” Some collocations are also awkward, such as “get knowledge about technology” and “students wants to get knowledge.” These slips reduce precision and sometimes make the reader pause, although the intended meaning is generally recoverable. Check spelling carefully and learn natural word partnerships, for example “gain knowledge” and “choose a course that matches their interests.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional-style example beginning “if students wants” and a relative clause in “courses that match with their abilities.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but errors in sentence structure and basic grammar occur throughout. Examples include “an increasing amount to students,” “I strongly believe that was a positive development,” “company wants,” “students wants,” “they can enrolled,” and “career paths that suits.” Capitalisation is also inconsistent, as in “i” and “students” after a full stop. Practise subject–verb agreement, verb forms after modal verbs, articles and sentence openings. Proofreading each sentence for its subject and main verb will improve accuracy.
