Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You include figures from both charts and identify travel as the leading reason in the first chart, while buying property overseas is the largest category in the second. However, the overview is limited: “more in travel than foreign partner” gives only a simple contrast and does not summarise the main change shown by the second chart. Some reporting is also inaccurate or unclear. The first chart’s 14% is the combined total for personal development and social contacts, not one category; in the second chart, the 8% combined total is correct, but “3% travel” is repeated. The task is therefore only partly addressed, with key comparisons under-developed. Add a clear overview and report the categories and figures precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic sequence: an introduction, an overview, and separate descriptions of the two charts. This gives the reader some organisation, and phrases such as “Overall” and “Additionally” signal transitions. However, progression within the paragraphs is not always clear. The first chart’s figures are crowded into one sentence, and the second-chart sentence combines several categories, a total, and a repeated travel figure. “It has changed so much according to previous data” does not clearly identify what changed. Use one paragraph per chart, group the largest categories before smaller ones, and make comparisons explicit. More precise referencing and less overloaded sentences would make the report easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “proportion,” “business/work,” “buying property overseas,” and “personal development.” However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or awkward, which can make the meaning less clear. “Proportion distribution” is redundant, while “the teachers reported that there were change in all” does not express the chart’s categories naturally. Spelling errors such as “foriegn,” “lnguage,” “intrest,” and “preivous” are noticeable. Aim for precise chart-reporting language and check spelling carefully. For example, describe teachers as “reporting” a reason and use “the proportion of teachers” rather than an unclear phrase about students being more numerous.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including “Overall, it is evident that…” and a sentence beginning “Specifically.” However, control is inconsistent, and several sentences contain errors that make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. The opening, “The pie chart illustrates the proportion distribution of students learning foreign language a survey conducted,” lacks a clear grammatical structure. In “the individuals who were learning foreign language were 33% of travel,” the subject and percentage are not connected correctly. There are also agreement and article problems in “there were change” and “the foreign language.” Use straightforward structures such as “Travel was cited by 33% of teachers,” and check sentence boundaries, articles, and singular/plural agreement.
