Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers both charts and provides a clear overview. You have successfully identified the key features, such as the dominance of travel and business in the first chart. However, the report lacks precision in data reporting. For instance, you mention 'a mere proportion' for several categories without providing the specific percentages shown in the charts, which is essential for a Task 1 report. Furthermore, the description of the second chart is slightly vague, using phrases like 'all rest reason' instead of clearly summarizing the remaining data points. To improve, ensure that all significant data points are explicitly stated and that the comparison between the two charts is more analytical.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The report is logically organized into four paragraphs: an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs focusing on each chart. The progression of ideas is generally clear. You use some cohesive devices like 'Regarding the first chart' and 'On the contrary' to link ideas. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'while the later discusses' (should be 'the latter') and 'finally all rest reason'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, which occasionally disrupts the flow of information. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help achieve a more natural and sophisticated flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'illustrates', 'dominant', and 'increment'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and awkward collocations. For example, 'social contracts' is likely a misuse of 'social contacts', and 'a foreign soulmate' is an informal and inaccurate description for a category likely labeled 'partner'. Additionally, 'the will of buying' is not standard English; 'the desire to buy' or 'the intention to purchase' would be more appropriate. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring collocations are natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that detract from the quality of the writing. Examples include 'reasons of learning' (reasons for), 'the later discusses' (the latter), 'about 20% instructors' (about 20% of instructors), and 'saying their is no change' (there is). There are also issues with article usage and prepositional phrases. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct preposition usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
