Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all parts of the task by describing the two pie charts. You have successfully identified the key features, such as 'travel' being the most common reason and 'buying property' being the most significant recent change. However, the report suffers from some inaccuracies in data interpretation and clarity. For instance, the phrasing 'recent reason for rose in learning' is awkward and slightly confusing. To reach a higher band, ensure that the data is presented with greater precision and that the relationship between the two charts is explained more clearly. The overview is present but could be more effectively synthesised to highlight the main trends rather than just listing categories.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Overall', 'Similarly', and 'However' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For example, the start of the second paragraph, 'on context of recent surplus in learning behaviour', is grammatically disjointed and lacks a smooth connection to the previous paragraph. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help create a more professional and cohesive report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'proportion', 'illustrate', and 'instructors'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'bussiness', 'parther', and 'chnage'. Additionally, the phrase 'recent surplus in learning behaviour' is not a natural collocation in this context. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and double-check your spelling. Using more varied synonyms for 'reason' or 'learning' would also enhance the quality of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'teachers reports that buying property... is buying property' (redundancy) and '19% of people increases in learning' (incorrect verb form). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but there are issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement throughout the text. To achieve a higher band, you need to demonstrate better control over complex structures and reduce the frequency of basic grammatical slips.
