The pie charts below show responses by teachers of foreign languages in Britain to a survey concerning why their students are learning a foreign language. The first chart shows the main reason for learning a foreign language. The second chart shows how many teachers felt that there has been a recent change in the reason.

The provided pie charts illustrate the proportion of responses of foreign language British educators to a survey conerning why their students are learning a foreign language. The first pie chart demonstrates the main motive for learning, whilst the second chart displays percentage of teachers who felt there has been a recent change in the cause of learning a foreign language.

Overall, travel was the most notable common motive for learning a foreign language followed closely by business and work. Furthermore, purchasing assets overseas was the most significant reason why more individuals are learning a foreign language, as reported by the British teachers.

Travel accounted for the largest share for the most common reason at 33%, followed by business/work and purchasing land abroad at 26% and 19% respectively, social contacts and personal development were both at 7%, while general interest and foreign partner accounted for the smalled share at 5% and 3% respectively.

On the other hand, travel was the least reported for recent increase in people learning for a foreign language at 3%, Whilst purchasing property overseas accounted for the largest share at 34%, following this were business/work and social contacts at 19% and 15% respectively.
