IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The pie charts below show responses by teachers of foreign languages in Britain to a survey concerning why their students are learning a foreign language. The first chart shows the main reason for learning a foreign language. The second chart shows how many teachers felt that there has been a recent change in the reason.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

The pie charts illustrate the students who are learning foreign language for different reason which has been respondent by teachers of foreign language in Britain.Also, it shows the changes of learning language.

Overall, there are seven reasons, why students were learning foreign language. But in resent recearch, it shows clear difference of learning it. Moreover in resent survey, it become clear that most of the students are learning language to buy properties overseas, alongwith business and work.

To begin with, before travelling was the biggest factor of learning new language, covering 33% out of 100%, taking the top position. After that, business or work and buying properties take the second and third position thoroughly, taking 45% of the chart togather. In addition, general interest, social contacts, personal development and at last foreign partner are the few reasons for learning language.

In contrast, in resent studies shows that people learning language only for travelling droped by 30% reaching only 3%. Now, the biggest reason of learning new language is buying property, which is taking 34% of the chart and being the first. Business and work, stayes in the third position in both even after dropping to 19% from 26%.
