IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The pie charts below show responses by teachers of foreign languages in Britain to a survey concerning why their students are learning a foreign language. The first chart shows the main reason for learning a foreign language. The second chart shows how many teachers felt that there has been a recent change in the reason.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

The given pie chart illustrates main reasons of why students are learning a foreign language as seen by their teachers of foreign languages in Britain.

Overall, we can see that the main reasons for learning a foreign language is travel and work while teacher report the increase in students is due to work and buying property overseas. There is also an increase in students for social connections and some student learning them for no reasons.

There is an increase of student for buying property overseas from 19% to 34% while work and

travel which use to take 26% and 33% intreste earlier now only are 19% and 3%. There is also a new adding of 15% students learning foreign language for no reason.

Students learning new language for personal development had come down from 7% to 4% however student who had general interest in the language has increased from 5% to 6%. Student intrested for social connection and partner had also increased from 7% and 3% to 15% and 4%.
