The pie charts below show responses by teachers of foreign languages in Britain to a survey concerning why their students are learning a foreign language. The first chart shows the main reason for learning a foreign language. The second chart shows how many teachers felt that there has been a recent change in the reason.

The pie charts illustrate the data about a survey in which teachers reporting the percentage changes between two categories of foreign languages learners in Britain.

Overall, it can be seen that the most students learn foreign language for travel puuposes, making it the highest category as compared to the other. It can also be noticed that recent change showed that buying property overseas accounted for the largest proportion and business work ranked second among students.

Regarding the main reason for language learning, travel accounted for 33%, while the business work had 26%. 7% of students learn ed language for the personal development and social contacts which was higher than general interest and foreign partener that were 5% and 3%.
