The pie charts below show responses by teachers of foreign languages in Britain to a survey concerning why their students are learning a foreign language. The first chart shows the main reason for learning a foreign language. The second chart shows how many teachers felt that there has been a recent change in the reason.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

The first pie chart illustrates the proportion of seven main reasons why students are learning non-native language according to the instructor of foreign language in Britain. Whereas, second chart illustrates the proportion of same reasons why students are intrested in learning foreign language in recent time.

Overall, the common reasons why the students are learning foreign language is highly dominated by the travel and least by the foreign partnership but meanwhile, the reasons for learning foreign language is changing in recent time where proportion of travel is very low and for buying foreign property is surging.

On the first graph, travel is the main reason why around 33% of students are learning foreign language, followed by reasons for career and business(26%) and buying poperty in foreign country(19%). In contrast, there are only few students who are learning foreign language due to the reasons like personal interest, communication, character development and foreign partnership.

Turning to the second graph, reason for buying property outside the country intrests the student to learn languge.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
