The pie charts below show responses by teachers of foreign languages in Britain to a survey concerning why their students are learning a foreign language. The first chart shows the main reason for learning a foreign language. The second chart shows how many teachers felt that there has been a recent change in the reason.

The two pie charts presents information about the responses to a survey conducted in Britain by the teachers of foriegn languages of why their students are learning a foriegn language , where the first chart renders the main reason for learning a foreign language and the second chart outlines about how many teachers felt that there has been a change in the reason lately.

Overall, travel and business/work were reported as the most common reasons for language learning, whereas buying property overseas showed the largest recent increase, and travel showed the sharpest decline in relative importance.

This was followed by business or work purposes, at 26%, and buying property overseas, at 19%.
