Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response identifies the topic and attempts an overview, but it only partially reports the charts and includes unsupported explanations. It correctly notes that work accounts for 26% in the first chart and that buying property overseas has increased, but the claim that work “has been fall by 7%” is inaccurate: the second chart reports 19% of teachers seeing a recent increase for this reason, not a seven-point fall. The travel figure of 33% and the property figure of 19% are not clearly reported, and the response omits several key comparisons, including property overseas being the largest reported recent increase at 34%. Explanations such as language translators and social-media trends are not shown in the data. A complete overview and accurate comparisons are needed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is an attempt to organise the report into an introduction, overview and chart-focused paragraphs, and phrases such as “Overall” and “A glance at the first chart” signal the intended structure. However, progression is difficult to follow because ideas are grouped vaguely rather than compared systematically, and the final paragraph stops mid-sentence: “Further analysis of the graph reflects that for the new skill development”. Several references are unclear, including “it” and “some of them,” while “in addition to that” does not clearly connect the ideas around it. Organise the report around a concise overview followed by clear comparisons of the two charts, and use linking phrases only where they show a precise relationship.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The response uses some task-related vocabulary, including “survey,” “common,” “general interest,” and “investing in real estate,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, vocabulary is often imprecise or unnatural for describing chart data: “common points to learning,” “increasing their hobbies,” and “increaing like a pitch” do not communicate the intended trends clearly. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “noticable,” “individulas,” “beacuse,” and “exposure” misspelled as “explosure.” Choose standard reporting language and accurate collocations, for example “the most common reason,” “the proportion reporting an increase,” and “rose sharply.” This would make the comparisons clearer and more appropriately formal.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple and more extended sentences, but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Examples include “to understands why students are learning,” “many of them learning it,” and “it has been fall,” where verb forms are incorrect. Agreement and sentence construction are also problematic in “General interest is constant and don't have a higher change,” and the sentence beginning “Some of them increasing…” lacks a clear grammatical structure. The final sentence is incomplete. Practise accurate present-tense reporting forms, such as “teachers report,” “the figure fell,” and “the share increased,” and check that each sentence has a complete subject and verb.
