Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover both charts and identify the main patterns: travel leads as the principal reason, while buying property overseas is the largest category for reported recent increases. Most figures are accurately reported, including the 33%, 26%, and 19% in the first chart and the 34% and 19% in the second. However, the overview says travel “has experienced a declined,” which is not quite what the second chart shows: it reports only 3% of teachers identifying a recent increase for travel, not a decline. The overview could also clarify that 15% reported no change. Some details are less clearly expressed, but the response is relevant and gives a reasonable comparison of the key features.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The report has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction and overview are followed by one paragraph for each chart. This makes the information easy to locate, and sequencing within the first chart—from the largest categories to the smallest—is generally logical. Linking phrases such as “Overall,” “followed by,” and “while” help connect comparisons. To make progression more consistently smooth, avoid repetitive sentence openings such as “shows” and “reported,” and revise the second-chart paragraph, where “Social contracts and no change shows that shows” interrupts the flow. More precise referencing would also help distinguish the chart’s reported increase from an actual change in student numbers.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for describing charts, including “most common reason,” “responses,” “followed by,” and “least reported,” so the meaning is generally clear. There is some useful variation in describing rankings, but several word-choice and spelling problems reduce precision: “business works” is less natural than “business or work,” “social contracts” appears to mean “social contacts,” and “properites,” “respones,” and “foriegn” are misspelled. “Buying properites overseas had become more significant reason” also uses an imprecise phrase for a survey category. Aim for accurate, consistent chart language, such as “accounted for,” “was the leading reason,” and “teachers reported an increase.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use a mixture of simple statements and more developed comparisons, including “followed by business or work having 26% of responses,” and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, some grammatical errors recur. Articles and noun forms are missing or incorrect in “learning foreign language” and “the highest reason”; the latter would be more naturally expressed as “the largest share.” There are also faulty sentence constructions, especially “Social contracts and no change shows that shows 15% of respones each,” and the final sentence of the first paragraph has an awkward structure around “foreign partner is shows.” Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, and simplify sentences when a more complex construction becomes difficult to control.
