Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both attitudes and state a clear preference for prioritising work, especially in the opening and conclusion. The point that employment can provide “financial stability” and support a successful career is relevant, while the leisure paragraph gives health and stress-relief benefits. However, these ideas are brief and rely on broad claims; the example about people in Pakistan does not explain how their work focus leads to success. The response also falls 25 words short of the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop and support your arguments. To strengthen the response, explain each benefit more fully and give a specific, convincing example for both perspectives, while making your own position clear throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each attitude, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help signal the contrast, and the ideas within each paragraph are generally related to its main point. However, progression is basic, and some links feel mechanical or unclear. For example, “Thus” introduces a conclusion after the Pakistan example without clearly showing how the example proves the claim. The final paragraph repeats the preference for work rather than drawing the discussion together. Improve cohesion by arranging each paragraph around a clear claim, explanation, and example, and use referencing and transitions that show the precise relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial stability,” “successful career,” “passionate,” and “physical health.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less natural. Examples include “a little keen,” “focused to their job,” “leaisure,” and “yor leisure time activities.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “successful citizen” for people who succeed through their work. Build a more accurate range of expressions for employment and recreation, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your arguments clearer without requiring unnecessarily complicated words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast in the opening and a reason clause beginning “because.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to affect fluency and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “While other are more interested” lacks a complete main clause and has an agreement error; “many people in pakistan. Who are focused…” incorrectly breaks a sentence, and “you can also enjoy your life and give time to yourself.for instance” has faulty punctuation and sentence boundaries. There are also errors with articles, agreement, and sentence construction. Practise writing complete sentences, then check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation before adding more complex structures.
