Student answer (Band 6.5)
In this modern era, majority of individuals have become change their own hobbies and free for something unique because of advancements of technology. Advocates of the one side opine that individuals regard jobs as the most vital thins in life and should little fascinate in something else. Nevertheless, some people are more energetic about their hobbies and free time interests than works. This essay I will discuss both the vies and give my own opinion before the conclusion.
On the one hand , if people works more interest in their due to they can earn financial stability .To explain, majority of human being who are working more energy and hard work after that they can earn enough money as financial security. Another reason is that people can earn high salaries because they can work more hard as well as full attention pr fascinate. To cite an examples, doctors ,engineer, police officers, nurses who are working for long time just due to hard work and dedication and earning money for the futures.
On the other hand , individuals are more enthusiastic about their hobbies and leisure due to they may reduce stress just do this kind activities such as reading books, listening to the music . These kind of activities generally they can re3duce their stress Another reason is that they argue that spending time with family ,exercising travelling, or pursuing personal interest reduces stress and improves both physical and mental health. For instance, people who regularly participate in sports or creative activities often report grater happiness and life satisfaction than those who work continuously without taking breaks.
In my opinion, neither extreme is ideal. Although work is essential for earning a living and achieving professional goal, hobbies and leisure activities are equally important due to they help people relax and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
In conclusion, while some people prioritise their careers and other value leisure activities more I opine that maintaining a balance between work and personal interests is the most sensible and rewarding approach.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both attitudes and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as financial stability for work-focused individuals and stress reduction for hobbyists. However, the development is somewhat limited; the supporting examples, such as listing professions like 'doctors, engineer, police officers', are brief and lack depth. To reach a higher band, you should expand on how these specific examples illustrate the 'enthusiasm' or 'interest' mentioned in the prompt. The position is consistent throughout, but the overall argument could be more nuanced to fully explore the implications of these two lifestyles.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a basic attempt at using cohesive devices, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical or hindered by grammatical errors, such as 'due to they can earn' or 'due to they may reduce'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the transition between ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used with correct grammatical structures would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'financial stability', 'work-life balance', and 'professional goal'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'have become change their own hobbies', 'should little fascinate in', and 're3duce'. These errors occasionally distract the reader. To improve, focus on learning common collocations (e.g., 'pursue a hobby' rather than 'pursue personal interest') and ensure that your word forms are accurate in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that impede the flow, particularly with prepositions and conjunctions (e.g., 'due to they can earn', 'work more hard'). There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and word order, such as 'majority of individuals have become change'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and the correct usage of subordinating conjunctions like 'because' or 'since' instead of 'due to'.
