Student answer (Band 6.5)
Some people belives that work is more significant aspect of their life and almost devote all their time on their work. However, other thinks that leisure activities are more important than the professional success. This eassy will discuss both of the pint of views before explaing why i belive a balanced life style is crucial.
On the one hand, many people think thay work should be their first priority because it provides them financial independence and security and a sense of achivement. Many people think that having a sucessful career enables people to afford their dream life style and support their family and accomplish long term goals. Most of the careers like doctors, business owners often need more devotion to their career. As tge result they have minimum time for their hobbies and their family.
On the other hand, some people place greater importamce to their hobbies and leisure activities over their jobs because they think this improves their quality of life. Engaging themselves in different activities such as painting, swimming and much more give them mental and physical well being. Whereas spending time with the family and building relationships mire stronger can give them an endless bundle of memories. Without this an indivisdual may experience burnout and reduce productivity and health realated issues.
In my point of view, neither work nor leisure activities should dominate a person life a balanced life style allows an indivisdual to remain productive at work and make their life more meaningful and fullbof memories.
In summary, while some people gives priority to work and other gives to hobbies i believes that balancing both is the most effective way for a prosparous life style.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both attitudes and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as financial independence for work-focused individuals and mental well-being for those prioritizing leisure. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited; for instance, the explanation of why a balanced lifestyle is beneficial is quite brief. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more specific examples or deeper analysis. The position is consistent throughout the essay, which is a strength.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for each viewpoint, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In summary', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical, and there are instances where the flow could be smoother. Referencing is generally clear, though some sentences feel slightly disjointed due to the limited range of linking words. Overall, the progression of ideas is coherent and easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'financial independence', 'professional success', and 'burnout'. However, there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'belives', 'eassy', 'pint', 'achivement', 'prosparous') and some awkward word choices (e.g., 'mire stronger', 'fullbof'). To improve, focus on accuracy in spelling and collocation. Expanding your range of vocabulary to include more precise or academic synonyms would also help elevate your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'some people gives', 'other thinks') and article usage. Punctuation is generally functional, but there are missing commas that would improve readability. Despite these errors, the meaning is rarely obscured, and communication remains effective. To improve, pay closer attention to verb forms and proofread for basic grammatical slips.
