Student answer (Band 5.0)
There are plenty of peoples who thinks that the most important thing in life is their work and they don't shows any interest in other things while other thoughts completely different from them.
In my point of view work is really important for life. w can say work should be a part of our lives because through work we can earn and spend our life. In today era you have to work if you want to spend a happy life or to make money.
But that doesn't means that your whole life revolves around your job and your business along with work we should do other activities like gym or start play sports or make hobbies because by doing this we can stay relax and calm and more focused. For example, if a person go to work daily and had no,other activities it can cause many health problems like high blood pressure, diabetes and most commonly heart issues.
Some people shows more interest in their hobbies and other activities than their job i am partially agree with that because by giving your all time to other activities or thinking about other free time activities can had a negative impact to their job. Then what can be done is to maintain your work life balance like if you are at work you should be fully focused on your job and in free time you can do whatever you want to do.
In conclusion, i think people should do work and also find other activities in their free times that help them to relax like going for a walk or to meet with your friends this can make u happy and help you to stress free at your work..

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both perspectives and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding health issues is mentioned but not fully explored with depth. The discussion on work-life balance is relevant, but the explanation of why one might be 'partially agree' with prioritizing hobbies is slightly underdeveloped. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your reasoning with more specific examples or nuanced analysis. The position is consistent throughout, but the overall depth of the argument needs to be more substantial to meet the requirements for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive. For example, the transition 'In conclusion' is standard, but the internal links between sentences are sometimes weak, such as the abrupt shift in the second paragraph. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between ideas could be smoother. While there is a logical progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the somewhat simplistic sentence structure limit the coherence of the argument. Improving the variety of transition signals would significantly enhance the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'really important', 'happy life', and 'do other activities'. There are also some word choice errors, such as 'start play sports' (should be 'start playing sports') and 'can had a negative impact' (should be 'can have'). To improve, you should aim to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to work-life balance and professional psychology, and focus on using collocations more accurately to convey your ideas with greater precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede readability. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('peoples who thinks', 'Some people shows'), incorrect verb forms ('can had', 'can cause'), and missing articles or punctuation errors. The sentence structures are mostly simple or compound, with limited attempts at complex sentences. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar—such as tense consistency and pluralization—prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and verb tense would be a great first step.
