Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, work is playing a vital role in our life. But on the other way hobbies also crucial in our life because without that we can't live our life happily. There are two types of individuals on earth one is that who loves their work but on the other side there is person who loves their hobbies, favorite activities etc. In this essay I will discuss my own opinion that a person must should do their favorite hobbies and multiple things in which they should feel very happy, calm, free and entertained their self.
One of the main reasons why I strongly support the people are more excited related to their hobbies and leisure interests than their employment because a person who is taking more interest in their multiple activities than their work so it will help to boost their physical and mental health. For instance, someone love to play indoor and outdoor games and other co-curricular activities in which they will take many interests than their occupation so, it will also enhance their personality.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, as it is only 177 words long. Furthermore, the essay is incomplete, ending abruptly at 'Another reason'. Because the response is unfinished, it fails to address all parts of the task; the second viewpoint is not discussed, and the conclusion is missing. The ideas presented are underdeveloped and lack the necessary depth and supporting evidence required for a full discussion. To improve, you must ensure you complete the essay structure and provide sufficient detail to meet the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay shows some attempt at logical organization, such as the introduction and the start of a body paragraph. However, the abrupt ending severely impacts the overall coherence. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical, such as the repetitive use of 'on the other side' and 'for instance'. The paragraphing is incomplete, as the second body paragraph is not developed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and sufficient supporting information to create a logical flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'vital role in our life' and 'loves their work' are used, but there is little attempt to use more sophisticated or academic vocabulary. There are also errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'on the other way' (instead of 'on the other hand') and 'entertained their self' (instead of 'entertain themselves'). To achieve a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and collocations related to the topic of work-life balance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains several grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'a person must should do' (double modal), 'someone love to play' (subject-verb agreement), and 'they will take many interests' (incorrect collocation). The sentence structures are relatively simple, and there is a lack of complex sentence forms. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and modal verb usage. Additionally, try to incorporate more complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses or conditional sentences, while ensuring they are grammatically accurate.
