You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is no gainsaying the fact that some people believe that work plays a vital role and they have lack of interest in other things. While others are more energetic about their hobbies and spare activities that they find interesting, other than work. Even though, I understand the significance of work but having other hobbies are equally important in life.
Nowadays, Individuals focus on their work and do not waste their time in doing other activities. They may feel that by doing multiple things, they might affect their focus and waste time. As doing various things can be overwhelming sometimes. So, they only focus on getting proficient in their professional life. Additionally, they might feel that having interest in different things are somehow distracting them. Research's show that people who do few things are likely to be more excelled and generally prefers to do that work for hours without any distractions.
However, some people have multiple interests, they spend most of their spare time in hobbies like cooking, drawing, dancing and paintings. As it makes them more relaxed and rejuvenate them. They prefer to spend their time with the things that genuinely interests them and makes them feel more alive. Many employers tend to perform more better when they have breaks and different facilities to feel fresh. I think different interests make them all arounder rather than being perfect just at one thing. For instance, spending time with the activities like cooking and dancing releases happy hormones in body.
In Conclusion, I believe that people who are more enthusiastic about their interests and hobbies are happier and more relaxed whereas the people who are more goal oriented, tend to be more worried and introvert in nature. I reckon that having a work -life balance is vital to enjoy the life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both attitudes and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, though some development is slightly superficial. For instance, the argument that people who focus on one thing are 'more excelled' is a bit vague and could have been supported with a more concrete example of a professional field. The position is consistent throughout the essay, and the conclusion effectively summarizes the main points. To reach a higher band, ensure that the supporting evidence is more specific and that the logical links between the ideas and the examples are more robustly explained.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Additionally', 'However', and 'In Conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are a bit mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as the opening sentence structure. Referencing is generally clear, but the connection between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother to improve the overall progression of ideas. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints and the writer's own perspective.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common items like 'gainsaying', 'rejuvenate', and 'proficient'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'more better' (a grammatical error affecting lexical precision) and 'all arounder' (which is informal). The phrase 'Research's show' also indicates a lack of precision. To improve, focus on using more natural collocations and ensuring that vocabulary is used in the correct context to convey meaning more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'having interest in different things are' (subject-verb agreement), 'Research's show' (incorrect pluralization), and 'perform more better' (double comparative). Punctuation is mostly functional, but there are minor slips throughout. The range of structures is sufficient to communicate the argument, but the frequency of errors prevents a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and avoiding redundant comparatives would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
