Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding work are somewhat repetitive, focusing primarily on money and avoiding 'bad things,' while the arguments for leisure are underdeveloped and lack specific, logical evidence. The conclusion is incomplete, cutting off mid-sentence, which prevents a clear summary of your position. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that your arguments are supported by more sophisticated reasoning rather than simple lists of activities.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. While you use some cohesive devices like 'on the one hand' and 'moreover,' they are often used incorrectly or in a way that feels mechanical. The transition between ideas is frequently abrupt, and the lack of a completed conclusion significantly impacts the overall flow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the internal structure of sentences often lacks the necessary connectors to link ideas smoothly. Improving your use of linking words and ensuring your paragraphs follow a logical sequence will help improve your score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You rely on basic words like 'good,' 'bad,' and 'important' throughout the text. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'beuatifull,' 'jungels,' and 'enviraement,' which distract the reader. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, it is often used inaccurately or in a way that lacks precision. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning collocations and synonyms for common words, and pay closer attention to the spelling of basic vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the essay, including issues with subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence structure. For example, 'every single person think' should be 'thinks,' and 'if we were busy in work' is awkward phrasing. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, and the punctuation is inconsistent. The range of structures is quite limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. To improve, you need to focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb forms before attempting more complex structures.
