You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this contemporary era, people are more inclined and occupied by their work so that they can provide their families with the best amenities. However, there are also some flock who believes being amaeturs is the best way to live their life rather than preoccupied with some work all the time. Furthermore, deatils about both this aspects will be covered in latter essay along with my opinion.
To initiate with, with the expanding population it is much more significant to have a career and being occupied with the work. For instance, if one doesnot have a job then what will he/she do for living. As far as, society is concerned they values and gives respect based on amount of work one has or at which position they stand in their profession. After all this is completed they become tired and have very less amount of time for them for leisure.
On the other hand, amaeturs are the one who wholly believe that living life doing stuff in which one is passionated about is the best way of living. For instance, nowdays content creation is best source of income which is convinent for lot of people, for some practising yoga as yoga practitioner work as both revenue as well as following passion , thats how they make sure that both their hobby and work life is balanced.
To conclude, both this attitudes are important in their respective manner although my opinion is one should not always stuck in jobs but should also participate in other cirrculum activities and should learn how to balance personal as well as professional lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt by discussing the attitude of prioritising work and the attitude of focusing on hobbies, and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and relies on generalisations rather than deep elaboration. For instance, the discussion on work focuses broadly on societal respect and financial necessity, while the hobby aspect touches on content creation and yoga. While the prompt's requirements are met, the arguments could be extended further with more specific examples and deeper analysis to reach a higher band. Overall, the task is addressed adequately, resulting in a solid band 6 score for this criterion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is divided into logical paragraphs with an introduction, two body paragraphs representing opposing views, and a conclusion. However, the overall coherence is hindered by awkward transitional phrases, such as 'To initiate with' and 'deatils about both this aspects will be covered in latter essay'. Cohesive devices are sometimes used mechanically or inaccurately, such as referencing 'both this aspects' or 'both this attitudes' with plural/singular mismatches. Paragraphing is present and structurally attempts to separate the distinct points, but referencing and logical flow between sentences occasionally cause friction for the reader. These issues align comfortably with the band 6 descriptors.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student attempts a range of vocabulary appropriate for the topic, including terms like 'contemporary era', 'amenities', 'content creation', and 'professional lives'. However, there are numerous spelling errors ('amaeturs' instead of amateurs, 'deatils', 'convinent', 'cirrculum') and word choice inaccuracies ('some flock who believes', 'passionated about'). While the vocabulary used is adequate to convey the basic meaning and attempts less common items, the persistent lexical and spelling errors impede fluency and push the writing into the band 5 territory.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures ('if one doesnot have a job then what will he/she do') and relative clauses. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('people... is', 'society... they values'), missing auxiliary verbs ('doesnot'), and punctuation flaws. Complex sentences are often faulty or clumsy in construction, for example: 'people are more inclined and occupied by their work so that they can provide...'. These frequent errors create difficulty for the reader at times, placing the grammatical performance at a band 5 level.
