Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this contemporary era, it is often argued that a segment of individual thinks that work should be most prioritize over other things. While, others believe that pursuing hobbies and leisure interest can be more productive. However, I completely believe that work is very crucial thing in our life but we should not prioritize it over hobbies and other interest and the reasons will be discuss in the upcoming paragraphs.
First and foremost reason why some kind of people choose their work as important thing is having a decent income. To detail it out, yes pursuing hobbies are very crucial in every lives that rejuvenates human kind from daily stress. But, it cannot generate a income money is more essential than that. If there is no incomes so how do people pay their rents, bills and living a decent life. Pursuing hobbies is just for fun but, it should comes after work. Another reason is distraction from the carrier goal. To explain this, following hobbies unnecessarily can be resulted in distraction from the carrier goals that stops people upgrading lives. Hence, pursuing hobbies are important but work come first.
Despite some people believe work should be prioritize over over other thing. Me and some people strongly believe that Hobbies and leisure interest are very crucial in our daily lives. One of the key reason for that is help to refresh from the hectic schedules. To explain it further, in the recent times, every individuals living a hectic lives and they can't get enough time to get refresh from stress. So, the hobbies help to restore them from it. For instance, after spending a stressful week people can pursue their hobbies like playing sports or outing with friends or family to rejuvenate themselves. Another key reason is carrier development. To elaborate this, pursuing hobbies on daily basis can sometime leads towards massive development in that field. For example, Cristiano Ronaldo childhood hobby is playing football and he pursue it on daily basis and keeps train himself and it resulted in best player of the world.
Conclusively, even though some people choose work over other thing. I believe to pursuing hobbies and leisure interest because helps to restore from hectic schedule and it also help to concentrate better and giving chance to make carrier by pursuing it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both attitudes towards work and leisure, and presents a clear personal opinion throughout the essay. However, some parts are developed more fully than others. The main body paragraphs introduce relevant ideas, such as financial security and stress relief, but some arguments remain somewhat repetitive or under-developed. For instance, the explanation of why hobbies can distract from career goals lacks specific supporting evidence or extension. To move to a higher level, the writer should ensure that every main idea is thoroughly elaborated with robust examples and deeper analysis rather than relying on general assertions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, and logical paragraphing is attempted. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent reliance on transitional phrases like 'To detail it out' and 'To explain this'. Referencing within and between sentences is occasionally unclear, as seen in abrupt shifts between ideas in the body paragraphs. Progression is sometimes hindered by these mechanical links rather than flowing naturally. To improve, the writer should employ a wider and more natural variety of cohesive devices and ensure smoother transitions between sentences and paragraphs to enhance the logical flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used provides an adequate range for the task, allowing the writer to communicate their basic ideas. There are several attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'contemporary', 'rejuvenates', and 'hectic schedules', but these are often accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word form. Examples include 'most prioritize' instead of 'a high priority', 'generate a income money', 'carrier goal' instead of 'career goal', and 'get refresh'. While these inaccuracies do not completely impede communication, they restrict the score. To progress, the writer must focus on accurate word choice, correct word forms (such as nouns versus verbs), and natural collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting complex structures like conditional and subordinate clauses. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader. Notable issues include subject-verb agreement errors, such as 'a segment of individual thinks', incorrect verb forms like 'living a hectic lives' and 'does comes', article omissions or misuse, and awkward prepositional usage within grammatical patterns. While communication is generally maintained despite these errors, the high frequency of basic grammatical slips prevents the response from achieving a higher rating. To improve, the writer needs to practice careful proofreading and focus on mastering sentence structures, verb tenses, and pluralisation.
