Student answer (Band 5.5)
IT IS OFTEN ARGUE THAT SOME INDIVIDUALS FOCUSING ON THEIR WORK AS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN LIFE AND HAVE LITTLE INTEREST IN ANYTHING ELSE. WHILE, OTHER PEOPLE ARE MORE PASSIONATE AND ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT THEIR HOBBIES AND LEISURE INTERESTS THAN THEIR JOBS. THIS ESSAY WILL DISCUSS BOTH PRESPECTIVE BEFORE PRESENTING MY OWN VIEW.
ON THE ONE HAND, MANY PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT AS PER SOME INDIVIDUALS INTERPERSONAL OPINION, WORK IS THE MOST CRUCIAL AND NOTABLE THING IN HUMAN-LIFE. TO BE MORE SPECIFIC, SOME PEOPLE SET A GOAL IN THEIR CAREER AND BUCKLE DOWN TO ACHIVE IT. THIS IS BECAUSE THEIR AIM TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL IN THEIR CHOSEN FIELD. THEY ARE MORE PRODUCTIVE AND EXPERT IN THAT PERTICUALR FIELD AS WELL AS BETTER PROBLEM SOLVER. SECONDLY, SOME INDIVIDUALS' PERSONALITIES PLAY A SIGNIFICANT ROLE. IF THEY ARE NATURALLY INTROVERTED AND THEIR PERSONALITIES NOT SUITED TO SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, THEY MAY NOT INTERESTED IN OTHER ACITIVITES. MOREOVER, MEMBER OF SOCIETY WANT TO SPEND THEIR TIME IN A PRODUCTIVE ACTIVITES. TO EXEMPLIFY, SCIENTIST AND RESERCHERS SPAND THEIR WHOLE LIFE IN THEIR LABORATORY FOR RESERCH. MADAM CURIES AND SIR CURIE WAS MOST PROMINENT EXAMPLE FOR THIS AGREEMENT.
ON OTHER HAND, PEOPLE FOND ABOUT THEIR HOBBIES AND INTERESTING ACTIVITES. ON OTHER WORDS, SOME PEOPLE HAVE INDENPENDENT GESTURE AS WELL AS GARDEN VARIETY OF SKILLS IN OTHER FIELD. THEY PREFER TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY RATHER THAN THEIR JOBS. ADDITIONALLY, SOME INDIVIDUALS MAKE THEIR CAREER IN THEIR INTERESED INDUSTRIES SUCH AS SPORTS, MOVIES, CINEMA AND POLITICS. FURTHERMORE, WORKIND IN THE FIELD THAT PEOPLE ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT MAKE THEM MORE PRODUCTIVE AND FOCUSED. FOR INSTANCE, FAMOUS INDIAN CRICKETER MS DHONI STARTED THEIR CAREER AS A RAILWAY OFFICER, HOWEVER HE WAS INTERESED IN SPORTS, AS A RESULT, HE STARTED PLAYING CRICKET.
IN CONCLUSION, IN THIS COMETITIVE WORLD, IN MY OPINION, INTERPERSONAL SATISFACTION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WEATH, FAME AS WELL AS SOCIETY' POINT OF VIEW. HENCE, PEOPLE SHOULD SELECT THEIR WAY OF LIFE AS PER THEIR COMFORT.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the task partially, covering both work-centric attitudes and hobby-focused lifestyles, while presenting a personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and uneven across the paragraphs. For instance, the discussion on introversion and personality traits is abrupt and underdeveloped, while the historical example of 'Madam Curies' is inaccurate and poorly integrated to support the point. Although a position is stated, the arguments tend to be generalised rather than fully extended with robust reasoning and clear examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
There is a basic logical organisation, with the essay clearly divided into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Transitional markers such as 'ON THE ONE HAND', 'SECONDLY', and 'IN CONCLUSION' are used to structure the text, though they are written in all caps and feel somewhat mechanical. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs suffers from abrupt shifts in ideas, such as moving from career goals straight to personality types without a smooth transition. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, particularly with pronoun usage and connective phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common phrases like 'garden variety of skills' and 'competitive world', but these are often accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, form, and collocation, such as 'interpersonal opinion' instead of personal view, or 'workind' for working. There are also several spelling and lexical slips throughout the text, including 'ACHIVE', 'PERTICUALR', 'ACITIVITES', 'RESERCH', 'INDENPENDENT', and 'WEATH', which reveal a lack of precise lexical control and occasionally cause strain for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in basic sentence construction, verb forms, and agreement, such as 'IT IS OFTEN ARGUE' instead of argued, 'SOME INDIVIDUALS FOCUSING' instead of focus, and 'PERSONALITIES NOT SUITED' missing an auxiliary verb. Article omissions and pluralisation errors are also common throughout the response. While these errors do not completely obscure the overall meaning, their frequency indicates a lack of grammatical accuracy at the sentence level.
