Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this contemporary world ,the delima of unended and continous work among people has emerged as prominent aspect of modern life. Where some indiviuals assert this aspect that being swamped in work all time responsible for success .Whereas, I wholeheartedly concur with this notion that hobbies are indispensible component of healthier and successfull life.
On one hand ,there are several compelling rationales for those individuals who love to spend time with their hobbies, are more healthy and successful in their lives .In Addition,it is attributed to the fact that all work and no rest can leads to the potential harmful effects on mental and physical health .it can be illustrated as an example ,a job holder person who has a zeal of spending his time in learning books as well as playing with kids ,is more likely to perform better next day in office .With fresh mind,he may brings the innovation and substantially great ideas to promote the business .
On the other hand,a person who keeps on working all day and night ,having zero interests in hobbies or other activities may responsible for the detrimental effects on his health .Moreover,He won't be able to foster the inclusivity and innovation. Futhermore, being totaly involved in work develop stress and anxiety among people. It can be observed from a pertinent example that ,a designer who kept on designing clothes.Pondering about new ideas as well as competition with other designers in the society ,will keep herself anxious.Owing to the fact that she is not dealing with any other activity that will help her unwind after a stressfull day .
To put it all in a nutshell, although working is momentous in the life of a person but having no interest in any specific activity other than consistent work ,would cause the adverse effect in the long run .I firmly endorse this stance that,to maintain the mental and physical health it is crucial for individuals to spend time in atleast one hobby in their leisure time rather than just focusing on work in a loop.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both attitudes towards work and hobbies and presenting a clear position throughout. The writer's stance that hobbies are essential for a successful life is evident. However, some ideas are under-developed rather than fully extended. For instance, the discussion on how hobbies improve next-day office performance is introduced but lacks specific, well-reasoned elaboration. Similarly, the second body paragraph touches on stress caused by overworking, but the supporting example of the clothing designer remains somewhat repetitive in its explanation rather than advancing the argument to a broader conclusion. To reach a higher level, the main arguments would need deeper expansion with more robust, varied support and fully realized implications.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear, logical progression of ideas from introduction to body paragraphs and a concluding summary. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different viewpoints and the writer's opinion. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'On one hand,' 'On the other hand,' and 'To put it all in a nutshell,' which guide the reader through the discussion. However, some cohesion is mechanical or slightly faulty, such as punctuation issues around connectors (e.g., spacing errors before commas) and referencing that occasionally feels abrupt. To move towards a higher band, the use of cohesive ties needs to be more seamless and varied, ensuring that transitions between sentences and ideas are entirely natural and unobtrusive.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The writer uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'indispensible,' 'detrimental,' and 'momentous.' However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and word form throughout the text. Examples include the spelling error 'delima' instead of dilemma, 'unended and continous' instead of endless and continuous, 'indiviuals,' and 'successall.' Furthermore, phrases like 'a job holder person' and 'bring the innovation' show awkward collocation. While these lexical errors and spelling slips do not seriously impede communication, they prevent the vocabulary from achieving the precision and flexibility required for a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting complex structures to connect ideas. However, there is a lack of sustained accuracy, with frequent grammatical errors that can cause some difficulty for the reader. There are issues with subject-verb agreement, articles, and sentence fragments or run-on structures, such as 'Where some indiviuals assert this aspect that being swamped in work all time responsible for success' and 'it can be illustrated as an example ,a job holder person who has a zeal of spending his time in learning books... is more likely to perform better.' Punctuation errors, such as misplaced spaces before commas and missing commas in dependent clauses, are also present. To improve, the writer needs to demonstrate better control over basic and complex sentence patterns and significantly reduce grammatical errors.
