Student answer (Band 5.5)
A lot of person give importance to work in their life and they barely have interest in other activities. On the other hand many people are excited about their hobbies and leisure interests in their works.
Some people keep their work as principal thing in their life because there are many people who are very serious ,they have to earn fortheir family, for their dreams and for fulfulling their livelihood. They usually do not have enough time for other activities. They are so enrolled in their work because they want to achieve their dream as soon as possible. They have to fullfill their responsibility and sometimes they do not have enough money to spend on other activities.
On the other hand there are some person who are very passionate about their hobbies and their leisure interests than their jobs because they wanted to enjoy their life in their own ways while some of them feel relaxed, happier when they are busy playing some kind of instuments, dancing or any hobbies that they enjoy doing in their free time. And person sould enjoytheir work.
I totally agree with the person who is very serious with their work because they got that particular position after so many hardworks and sleepless night but if they can afford some kind of relaxed activities they should enroll themselves so, that they can get break from hectic schedule.
In conclusion, some people are very serious with their work because of some responsibilities and some of them really enjoy their leisure activities because they do not want to burden themselves.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both sides regarding work and hobbies, and concludes with a personal opinion. However, the treatment of the ideas remains somewhat limited and under-developed. For example, while the writer mentions that people prioritise work to earn for their family and dreams, the explanation is repetitive and lacks specific supporting examples or extensions. Similarly, the discussion on hobbies briefly lists playing instruments and dancing without fully exploring why these leisure interests matter so much to some individuals. The position is stated, but the ideas are not fully extended throughout the body paragraphs, resulting in a partial coverage of the task requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some basic organisation evident through the use of standard paragraphing and transition phrases such as 'On the other hand' and 'In conclusion'. However, the overall progression of ideas lacks clarity. The connection between sentences can feel mechanical or abrupt, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as shifting pronouns between plural subjects and singular noun phrases like 'the person who is very serious'. Cohesive devices are used repetitively rather than flexibly, which affects the flow of the argument. While the structure is discernible, the lack of smooth transitions between paragraphs prevents a clear and logical progression throughout.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic message. The writer attempts some less common words and phrases, such as 'hectic schedule' and 'fulfulling their livelihood', but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, form, and spelling, including 'fulfulling', 'sould', and 'enjoytheir'. There is also a reliance on repetitive phrasing, such as 'very serious' and 'leisure interests'. These lexical inadequacies and spelling errors occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a restricted vocabulary range suitable for expressing more complex ideas.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The text displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences alongside a few basic complex attempts. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, particularly regarding pluralisation and subject-verb agreement, such as 'A lot of person give' instead of 'A lot of people give', and punctuation spacing issues throughout. Attempts at complex sentence forms are often faulty, and errors involving articles, prepositions, and verb tenses appear consistently. These frequent errors require the reader to occasionally pause and can cause difficulty in fully grasping the intended meaning of certain phrases.
