Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this world, Every people do some work which can be anything where they like it or not. There are few people priorise work as there most significant thing in their life over everything.Whereas there are also some people who love to work on there interest over the job.In my opinion we should not choose only one thing we should focus on both work and interest which makes balance in life and give us the aim and make us motivated. In this essay we will discuss about which one is important job or the interest .
firstly , We discuss about people choosing work over their interest is not good we should follow our passion too also we need to work on our interest which keeps up motivated amd joyful .Those who put the work as the highest priority in there life they can make money more than other but never gonna enjoy their life. They should also look in the hobbies, interest which helps to grow in their field and don't feel regret after the earning time will over.
On the other hand, We discuss about those people who put their hobbies and interests over their job tjose type of people are not the people qho earn the moat but they are the people who are happiest the most. However they can also earn more if they make their interest as their work.
In contrast, We should not choose only job or only interest we should make balance between them to get success.I do not recommend to do the job you don't like do the job which makes you happy and alive.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt partially by discussing both attitudes towards work and leisure, and offers a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For example, when stating that people who prioritize work 'can make money more than other but never gonna enjoy their life', the argument lacks specific elaboration or relevant evidence. Similarly, the discussion on hobbies helping people to grow in their field is stated briefly without concrete examples. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to extend and support all main points fully with clear explanations and relevant examples throughout the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays some organization with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, establishing a basic structure for the discussion. However, there is no clear overall progression of ideas, and the logical flow between sentences is occasionally hindered by repetitive phrasing, such as starting multiple sentences with 'We discuss about'. Cohesive devices are used rather mechanically, seen in transitional phrases like 'firstly', 'On the other hand', and 'In contrast', some of which are not used in their standard functional contexts. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs lacks smooth transitions. To improve, the writer should ensure a more logical progression of ideas and employ a wider, more natural variety of cohesive links.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic message of the prompt. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'significant', 'enthusiastic', and 'priorise', but noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling cause some difficulty for the reader. Examples include spelling errors like 'priorise' instead of 'prioritise', non-standard word forms such as 'joyful' used where a different adjective might fit better, and awkward collocations like 'earn the moat'. Vocabulary control remains basic, and terms are frequently repeated throughout the text. To achieve a higher score, the writer must expand their lexical range, ensure accurate word forms, and use correct spelling consistently.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing demonstrates a limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside a few attempts at complex sentences that are often faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader, including subject-verb agreement issues such as 'Every people do', incorrect prepositions and pronoun referencing like 'work on there interest', and capitalization errors at the start of sentences. Punctuation is also problematic, with missing spaces after commas and periods. To progress, the writer needs to incorporate a greater variety of complex grammatical structures and improve overall sentence accuracy by eliminating frequent basic errors.
