Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this contemporary era, some masses assume that work is extreemly essential and allocate their entire energy in working whereas they delinates minimal interest in other recreational activities. Meanwhile, remaing audience have exceptional level of concern towards their interests, hobies and other luxaries regardless of their regular jobs. I assert that there should be proper balance between both perspectives as these both are imperative for healthy lifestyle instead of attaing any one of them. Following paragraph elaborate this vision throughly.
On the one hand, prioritising work and inhibiting from other hobbies is not productive approach and have some demerits as human body needs a balance attitude in any case. Working day and night and staying away from physical activities including sports, music, socializing entirely create the sense of isolation and reduce productivity of work which leads to hazordous problems like anxiety, stress etcetera. Following the interests and making time for them creats fresh minds and increase the critical and logical level of thinking. As for illustration, successfull people make fresh balnce between those and this is the rule of success to maintain equality in both job and extra-curricular activities. Recent research in Harward also provokes that the succeced individuals are thise who are evident to check proper balnce in their hobbies and works.
On the other hand, audience who supports the view of work or only other activities are crucial and are more enthusiastic about them will have long term effects. Meanwhile jobs faciliate the indivuidual make them financialy stable and give them oppertunity to attain long term goals by forbidding themselves from work and putting entire keen interest in other activities will lead to poverty and joblessness. For example, by taking both of activities and jobs in parallel can give us unique liofestyle and multioptional choices and we donot feel boardem.
To pen down all this discussion, despite all the merits of jobs and recreational activities I still believe the excessivenes of any factor and by totaly inhibitting them create distinct numerous circumstances and hence we should be able to make positive balance between our all works to reamin healthy and attain our desire score .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both attitudes towards work and leisure, and presents a clear personal opinion throughout the essay. However, some parts are developed more fully than others, placing the response at this level. While the body paragraphs explore the disadvantages of overworking and the need for balance, certain ideas remain somewhat repetitive or under-developed, such as the second body paragraph's exploration of financial stability versus poverty. The position is evident from the introduction to the conclusion, but the support lacks depth and occasionally strays into vague generalisations rather than fully extending every argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the response into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is utilised correctly to separate the differing viewpoints. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or faulty, with transitional phrases and referencing that occasionally feel awkward, such as starting paragraphs with 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' followed by slightly confusing relational links like 'audience who supports the view'. Paragraph progression is visible, but the logical links between sentences can be clunky, and referencing terms are not always entirely clear to the reader.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, demonstrating an attempt to use less common and academic terms such as 'contemporary era', 'recreational activities', and 'isolation'. However, there are noticeable spelling errors ('extreemly', 'hobies', 'luxaries', 'creats', 'successfull', 'Harward', 'succeced', 'thise', 'balnce', 'indivuidual', 'financialy', 'oppertunity', 'liofestyle', 'boardem', 'excessivenes', 'totaly', 'reamin') and word-choice inaccuracies ('masses' used to mean people, 'remaing audience' instead of remaining people, 'parallel' used loosely). These lexical slips and spelling mistakes do not entirely impede communication, but they restrict the range and accuracy of vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms to express their ideas. There is a presence of basic sentence patterns alongside more ambitious complex structures. However, there are frequent errors in grammar, including subject-verb agreement issues ('approach... have', 'activities and jobs... can give'), article omission or misuse ('a balance attitude', 'the rule of success'), and prepositional or structural inconsistencies ('allocate their entire energy in working'). While these grammatical errors rarely impede overall communication, they occur frequently enough across simple and complex forms to typify this level.
