Student answer (Band 6.0)
The discussion about the interests in work and other leisure activities is getting popular day-by-day. Some people think that work is the most important thing in life while others think that spending time in hobbies and leisure should be the top priority. I feel that there needs to be a balance between both. In this essay I will discuss about both aspects with examples.
In today's world where money is an unevitable necessity for life, work plays an important role to earn that. People are struggling day and night to fulfil the needs of their evaryday routine. Mainting a comfortable life style needs to burn the mid-night oil. To overcome the problems caused by inflammation, people are not left with any option except working continuously. Whether we talk about the poor, middle or upper class families, everyone is a victime of society's pressure for earning adequate amount of money to run their daily life cycle. For instance, If a person wants to give healthy food, clean environment, high standard education and comfortable living to his family, he must go to work so he can earn enough money to keep all these things to happen. Such people are the ones who have the perspective that work needs to be first priority in life.
There is another school of thought having people with an opine that spending more time in leisure or hobbies than doing their jobs is more important. To some extent their mind-set is also defensive. For example, if a person is always busy in work and doesn't has any other activity, will ultimately end with loneliness, health issues and no peace of mind. His family probably will enjoy all the benefits and luxuries, but he could never had a chance to enjoy the life equally as his family members are, consequently ending with depression. The people who are enthusiastic about having some leisure time are often the ones who don't take much stress of the society or living standards
Keeping all above mentioned aspects in mind, I believe that a work-life balance is the most important thing. Inclining towards only one side is not sustainable for any person. Giving time to hobbies, taking a small leisure break during work and focussing on work honestly without spending extra hours, all these factors are equally advantageous.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both attitudes and state a clear view that “there needs to be a balance between both,” returning to this position in the conclusion. The discussion of work is supported with a relevant example about earning enough to provide for a family, while the leisure paragraph explains possible costs of working constantly, including loneliness and health problems. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the first relies heavily on financial pressure, and the second gives broad claims without a specific example or evidence. The phrase “problems caused by inflammation” is unclear and does not support the point about why people work. Develop each attitude with a more precise explanation and example, and make the link between your reasons and your balanced opinion more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each attitude, and a conclusion that gives your opinion. Topic sentences such as “There is another school of thought” help signal the shift between viewpoints, and examples generally appear alongside the relevant claims. Some connections are mechanical or unclear, however. “In this essay I will discuss about both aspects” announces the structure rather than advancing the argument, while “To overcome the problems caused by inflammation” does not clearly connect to the preceding point. The final paragraph lists several recommendations but does not fully explain how they follow from the discussion. Use clearer links between cause and consequence, and make references such as “these factors” point unmistakably to the ideas you mean.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of vocabulary relevant to work and wellbeing, including “top priority,” “comfortable lifestyle,” “leisure,” “loneliness,” and “work-life balance.” These choices allow the main ideas to be understood, but several inaccurate or unnatural expressions reduce precision. For example, “unevitable necessity,” “a victime of society’s pressure,” and “their mind-set is also defensive” do not express the intended meanings naturally; “inflammation” is also inappropriate in the context of work-related problems. Spelling errors such as “evaryday” and “Mainting” further affect control. Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than inserting ambitious phrases, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex forms, including conditional structures such as “if a person wants to give … he must go to work” and a contrast introduced by “while.” The overall meaning is usually clear, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “doesn't has” should be “doesn't have,” and “he could never had a chance” needs a corrected verb form, such as “he could never have a chance.” The sentence beginning “The people who are enthusiastic…” is left without a full stop, and “Inclining towards only one side is not sustainable” is awkwardly constructed. Review auxiliary verbs, modal verb patterns, and sentence boundaries, while continuing to practise varied complex sentences.
