Student answer (Band 6.0)

We are humans not robots, therefore It is crucial to maintain balance among the proceeding activities in our lives. Despite it, certain people prioritize their work by avoiding to retain their interest in any other activities. Conversly, other individuals are more into their leisure pursuits and entertainment than their jobs. In this essay, I will like to discuss both of these traits and then I would argue that a balanced approcahe is provital to keep these two things simultaneously.

To begin with, our brain manufacture in a way that it cannot work consistently with any break. No doubtly, being concern about your career goals and stay focused toward your ambitions is fundamental to fullfil your dreams; however, enjoying other activities including spending quality time with your friends and family is also indespensible. It provides us strength and motivation, which is eventually benefical for our overall well-being. Hence, we must have some spare time to spend on other hobbies and interest.

In contrast to this, if you spend more time on your fun activities while ignoring your job duties then it will also be an issue. Particularly when you are a struggler. Whereas, you have to be zealour among your profession to fullfil your dreams. Additionally, everyone knows that without money there is not entertainment. Therefore, you can enjoy your life completely when you work hard to earn first. Furthermore, during our twenties and thirties when we are more passionate and enthusiastic we must build our career in an expectional way, so we can enjoy rest of our lives well. Otherwise, if someone being trivial towards his job and waste time on leisure solely consequently he will suffer in future.

From my perspective, I am convinced that excess of anything is detrimental for us. Thus, a balance life is essential for us. We should follow a suitable schedule according to our tasks and capabilities.

In concludion, everyone should follow the work life balanced approcahe in their life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both attitudes and state a clear opinion: the introduction and conclusion support a balanced approach, while the body paragraphs consider career focus and prioritising leisure. The points about rest supporting well-being and earning money enabling leisure are relevant. However, the discussion is uneven: the work-focused attitude is mainly described as necessary for ambition, while the leisure-focused attitude is treated largely as a risk to future success. These claims would be more convincing if you explained why people might value leisure over work—for example, for creativity, health, or personal fulfilment—and supported the claims with a specific example. Your position is clear, but developing both perspectives more fully would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs, a stated opinion, and a conclusion. The progression from the benefits of work and leisure to the risks of over-prioritising leisure is generally easy to follow. You also use a range of linking expressions, including “To begin with,” “In contrast,” and “Furthermore,” which helps signal relationships between ideas. To strengthen cohesion further, make the contrast between the two attitudes more balanced and ensure each paragraph develops one central point rather than moving quickly between claims. Some transitions, such as “Particularly when you are a struggler,” are abrupt, and the final conclusion repeats the balanced-life idea without drawing together the main reasons.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “career goals,” “ambitions,” “leisure pursuits,” “motivation,” and “well-being.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “brain manufacture,” “No doubtly,” “a struggler,” and “zealour among your profession”; these are not natural expressions in this context. There are also repeated spelling errors, such as “Conversly,” “indespensible,” and “concludion.” Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully. More precise phrases such as “the brain is not designed to work continuously” would make your ideas clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “although,” “when,” and “if,” and most of your meaning remains understandable. However, some errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles reduce accuracy. For example, “our brain manufacture in a way” needs a correctly formed verb and article, while “if someone being trivial towards his job and waste time” has an incomplete conditional structure and inconsistent verb forms. In “a balance life is essential,” the adjective form is also needed. Practise building complete conditional sentences and checking subject–verb agreement and articles. Greater control of these patterns would make your complex sentences more reliable.
