Student answer (Band 5.5)

In today's rapidly growing world, some people takes their works as most important part of their life, while some individuals are more enthusiastic about their hobbies.

I firmly believe that both the things are important part of every young persons life. I will discuss bhot view points in fouthcoming paragraphs.

To commence with the first point of view which is importance of work. Employment is very important for very young people to complete his dream and desires. They can run their families with the money they earn from working. The other worth mentioning point is that, increase in number of working people also help in decreasing the crime rate and poverty. If everyone is busy in their professional life they can not think about the other illegal activities and they are less tense about their fiuture.

On other hand, extra activities other then work are also important in everyone's life. By following their hobbies they can inhance their characher and help them in self development. Hobbies help everyone to strenthen their nond with their love ones. For instance, their is report publish by the BBC, the people who give their some proportion of their time on the other interest are more successful and healthy. Their happiness is also depend on the things that they do in their free times.

In conclusion, I firmly maintain that both, work and hobbies are equally important in any persons life. The primarily beacause every person have to complete his desires, while hobbies are important to live a happy and healthy life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both attitudes by explaining why employment matters and why hobbies support personal development, then state that both are important. This gives the response a relevant, consistent position. The work paragraph includes practical reasons—earning money to support a family and potentially reducing poverty—while the hobbies paragraph mentions relationships, health and happiness. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: the link between being busy at work and avoiding illegal activity is broad, and the BBC report is not described or substantiated. The discussion also focuses on young people, although the question concerns people generally. Develop each side with clearer reasoning and a specific, credible example to make the response more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each attitude, and a conclusion that restates your view. Signposting such as “To commence with,” “On other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the discussion. Within paragraphs, ideas generally remain on topic, but some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “The other worth mentioning point” introduces a claim about crime without showing how it follows from the previous point, and “For instance” leads to a general report rather than a concrete example. The conclusion’s “The primarily because” also disrupts the final link between your reasons. Use clearer transitions between claims and explain how each example supports its paragraph’s main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “employment,” “professional life,” “self development,” and “free times,” and you attempt some less common expressions. However, the range and control are limited by repeated general words such as “important,” “people,” and “things,” as well as noticeable spelling and word-choice errors: “inhance,” “characher,” “strenthen,” and “fiuture.” Some combinations are unnatural, including “complete his dream,” “strengthen their nond,” and “give their some proportion of their time.” These choices can make meaning less clear, even though the main ideas remain understandable. Build a more precise vocabulary for work-life balance and check spelling and collocations; for example, use “achieve their goals” and “devote time to their interests.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If everyone is busy in their professional life…” and a relative clause beginning “which is importance of work.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in agreement, articles, plurals and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “some people takes,” “both the things are important part,” “every person have,” and “Their happiness is also depend.” The final sentence, “The primarily beacause…,” is also grammatically incomplete. These patterns show that complex ideas are being attempted but are not yet controlled consistently. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and article use, and revise each sentence to ensure it has a complete, correctly formed main clause.
