Student answer (Band 5.0)
In modern era, lots of people do jobs and every person have a hobbies and leisure interest in their life. However I believe that the work is the most important thing in our lives and also keeping a small intrest in everything else is acceptable.
People who are focused on their work believes that, it is their main source of income, therefore they don't interest in anything else apart from their work.Because they believe if they work they will get paid and otherwise they would not get paid. And if they were not paid they cannot manage their personal expenses. For example, a government doctor must be available at any emergency situation when there were any patient. Therefore they do not have time for their personal life. As a result, most of the people who works in offices do not think about their hobbies or leasure activities.
However, people who are more focussed on their hobbies and leisure activies have additional time for activities what they prefer to do. But this is the case that we need to consider. If we are more focussed on our leisure activities it would be a negative effect for our career goals.
For example, assume that I like to play computer games but if we play computer games during working hours it would be a negative effect for us. Therefore, focussing more on your leisure activities than your jobs would effect negatively for your future in your career goals.
In conclusion, people who consider work as the most important thing in life and have little interest in anything else would succeed in their jobs. But, If you focus on your leisure activities then you can do what ever you like and you have excess time to do whatever you prefer.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both attitudes and state a clear preference for work, especially in the introduction and the paragraph explaining income and career consequences. The doctor example is relevant, and the computer-games example illustrates how leisure can interfere with work. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the first attitude is mainly explained through financial necessity, while the benefits or motivations behind prioritising hobbies are not really explored. The conclusion also shifts to saying leisure-focused people can do what they like, without clearly weighing this against your stated view. Develop both perspectives more evenly and make your final judgement explicit. The response meets the required length; 15 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two attitudes, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “However,” “For example,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. Nevertheless, progression within paragraphs is sometimes repetitive or unclear. The first body paragraph repeats the idea that workers need income, and the link between the doctor example and the general claim about office workers is not fully explained. In the second body paragraph, “But this is the case that we need to consider” does not clearly connect the ideas. Use more precise links between claims and examples, and ensure the conclusion follows consistently from your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “source of income,” “personal expenses,” “career goals,” and “leisure activities,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors are noticeable. Examples include “a hobbies,” “they don’t interest in anything else,” “leasure,” and “activies.” “Focused” and “focussed” are also used inconsistently. Some phrases, such as “a negative effect for our career goals,” are awkward and repeated. Build a wider set of accurate expressions for discussing work-life balance, motivation, and personal fulfilment, and proofread spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “Because” and “if,” and the reader can usually follow your intended meaning. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence patterns as well as in longer constructions. For example, “every person have” has subject–verb disagreement, while “people who are focused on their work believes” also mismatches the subject and verb. “If they were not paid they cannot manage” shifts tense, and “when there were any patient” has problems with tense and number. There are also run-on sentences and missing spaces after full stops. Practise agreement, consistent tense, articles, and sentence boundaries before adding more complex structures.
