Student answer (Band 5.5)
Over the recent few decades, working in high paid jobs will help to fulfill basic necessities of life. Therefor, few individuals think that work is the most important thing in life than other things, while others say that learning new skills according to their hobbies are most important than jobs. I will discuss both the viewpoints along with my opinion in the enumerated paragraphs.
To commence with why work life is more important than other interest. First and foremost, it is helpful in building strong future. To explain it, doing high paid jobs are necessary to earn more to buy everything. They can secure their family from hurdles. Secondly, work is important to increase experience. They will learn new skiils from their peers which help them in future. It is helpful to grab more knowledge which they can use in daily life experiences.
On the other hand, learning new skills in leisure time will help individuals the most. Firstly, it can save their free time in fruitfull activity which boost their mental and physical strength. Doing nothing will make them to feel boredom and anxiety. Thus, along with work they should invest their time in learning new skills. Secondly, there are huge chances that after retirement from job they are able to do another work because they learn new skiils in free time. As a result, it is helpful to them to generate income for better living standards.
In conclusion, although jobs are important to reach basic necessities of life, yet learning new skills are equally important because it help to secure future by learning new skills.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both attitudes: the first body paragraph explains the value of work for financial security and experience, while the second discusses hobbies and learning skills for wellbeing and future income. Your conclusion also gives a broadly balanced view. However, the position is not fully clear: the introduction says you will give an opinion, but does not state it directly, and the conclusion says both are important without explaining how you weigh them. Several points remain general—for example, “building strong future” and “secure their family from hurdles” are not supported with a specific illustration or fuller explanation. State your view clearly and develop each main reason with a concrete example or explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two attitudes, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First and foremost,” “Secondly,” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the discussion. However, the linking can feel mechanical because each paragraph relies on a list of points, and some connections are unclear. For instance, “learning new skills in leisure time will help individuals the most” does not clearly connect to the comparison with work, while “Thus” introduces a recommendation rather than a direct result of the preceding idea. The conclusion also repeats the idea of learning skills. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make the relationship between each claim and its explanation more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “basic necessities,” “mental and physical strength,” “retirement,” and “generate income,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems that make some phrases awkward or less precise, such as “Therefor,” “skiils,” “fruitfull activity,” and “building strong future.” Some expressions are repeated, particularly “learning new skills,” and “work” and “important” recur without much variation. Aim for accurate collocations and a little more variety: for example, describe work as providing “financial security” and hobbies as offering “personal fulfilment.” Proofread spelling and choose phrases that express the intended meaning naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “while” and a conditional idea beginning “because they learn new skills.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to interpret. Examples include “doing high paid jobs are necessary,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “it help to secure future,” which also has agreement and article problems. In “Doing nothing will make them to feel boredom,” the verb pattern is incorrect. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, plural forms, and verb patterns, then check each sentence for a clear subject and a correctly formed main verb.
