You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

There are two different categories of the working people in which one of them just stay focused on their work and do nothing while the other type of people perform well in their hobbies and extra curriculum than their office work.

The group people who prefer work over everything are great and they think not giving time to yourself for enjoying the life spending moments with your friends is great win. They do so because they wanted to stay focused on their work without any side distraction or dividing their attention to other tasks. People in this cataogry killing their peace their intelligence without knowing. Its a famous quote "To perform well you need me tally relaxed" so if they dont do anything for their happiness to make their brains active they lost the way and fell exhausted and this lead to uncompleted tasks even with full passion and hard work.

Although we have some people in society who is doing their leisure activities and give there much of.the daily time rather than work. Having a hobby and doing it in your free time is not a bad thing it brings peace and happiness to someone but if people prefer doing such stuffs and ignoring the real work it may harm there financial life. While its better to make you hobby you work in tge era of modern technology everything is possible. I was also the same person of this group but thankfully I became an enterpreneur and started my cooking channel because i also fomt want to spend much time on work and devored my most of the time to my passion and hobby.

In my opinion all workplaces need to help a activity day every month which could be helpful to findout whats a persons looks like outside the station. People need to balance their work life with their hobbies so they can enjoy own life's and share the part of their time with their family and friend. Because if they stay healthy and peaceful they can perform very well.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You discuss both attitudes: people who prioritise work and those who give more time to hobbies, and you offer a clear view that balance is preferable. Relevant support includes the possible effects of overwork on wellbeing and the risk that neglecting work can harm financial security. Your personal example of turning a cooking hobby into a channel also helps illustrate the second attitude. However, some points are less fully developed than others. The claim that work-focused people “kill their peace” is not clearly explained, and the proposed monthly activity day is introduced without showing how it would help people balance work and leisure. Develop these ideas with clearer reasoning and specific examples to make the discussion more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: it introduces the two groups, discusses each in turn, and ends with your opinion and recommendation. Linking expressions such as “Although,” “While,” and “In my opinion” help signal shifts between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several claims are joined together without clear explanation. For example, the first body paragraph moves from work focus to relaxation, exhaustion, and unfinished tasks in a compressed sequence. The final paragraph also combines a workplace activity day, work-life balance, family time, and performance. Use clearer topic sentences and develop one main point at a time; make references such as “they” and “this” explicit so readers can follow the connections more easily.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “side distraction,” “financial life,” “passion,” and “balance their work life with their hobbies.” The personal example also gives you an opportunity to use topic-specific language. However, the range and control are limited by repeated general words such as “people,” “work,” and “things,” as well as inaccurate or unnatural choices that sometimes make meaning unclear. Examples include “great win,” “extra curriculum,” and “doing such stuffs.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “cataogry,” “enterpreneur,” and “devored,” also reduce precision. Build a bank of accurate collocations for work, leisure, and wellbeing, and check spelling and word forms carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening with “Although” and conditional structures such as “if people prefer doing such stuffs … it may harm.” These attempts show some range, but errors in sentence construction and control are noticeable and can make parts difficult to interpret. For instance, “The group people who prefer work over everything are great and they think not giving time to yourself … is great win” has unclear clause structure and inconsistent reference. There are also agreement and verb-form problems, as in “some people in society who is doing,” and missing or inconsistent articles and punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses while keeping subjects and verbs consistent.
