Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both attitudes and give a clear personal view: work can provide financial stability, while hobbies support personal growth and wellbeing, and you conclude that people should balance the two. The examples of promotion and reputation at work, and sport reducing stress, are relevant to the discussion. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that focusing on work helps people “set up clear goal” and achieve success is not developed with a clear explanation, and the benefits of hobbies are illustrated mainly through sport. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of each attitude in more depth and make your own position more explicit throughout, rather than relying chiefly on the concluding recommendation to balance work and leisure.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for work and leisure, and a conclusion. The contrastive opening of the second body paragraph (“On the other hand”) helps readers follow the discussion, and examples are placed with the relevant points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes uneven, and linking words can feel mechanical. The work paragraph moves from responsibility to promotion, goals, working conditions, and financial achievement without clearly showing how each point connects. Some sentence fragments, such as “Because working attentively…” and “through improving work condition…,” also interrupt the flow. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the claim it supports; vary transitions and ensure each sentence forms a complete, logically linked idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial stability,” “professional success,” “leisure activities,” and “mental pressure.” These choices show an attempt to discuss both career and personal wellbeing. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are frequent and sometimes make the reader pause, as in “occupaton,” “recrational,” “reputation,” and “maintaning.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “more priorities their hobbies,” “gain financial achievement,” and “maintain proper time.” Aim to learn vocabulary in accurate phrases, for example, “prioritise leisure activities,” “achieve financial goals,” and “balance work with personal interests.” Proofreading for spelling and choosing familiar, precise expressions will improve clarity and control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concession in “Although we have to work…” and a contrast introduced by “On the other hand.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but errors in sentence construction and punctuation recur. For example, “Because working attentively…” is a fragment, while “playing sports and treveling one of the most interesting hobbies” lacks a main verb. There are also agreement and verb-form problems in “it also reduced mental pressure and keep our mind fresh,” as well as missing articles and inconsistent sentence capitalisation. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and tense. Correct punctuation and capital letters will also make your ideas easier to follow.
