Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some people consider employment as the crucial thing in life morever they have less interest in anything else while other shows great interest in hobbies and leisure rather than jobs. I agree with the sentiment that work is paramount in life as it gives you salary. However, avocation and leisure is also as important due to it provide relaxation and peace to mind and consquently the reason of happiness.

Some individual prefer work as the crucial thing in life. Work is the only method of getting money and fianancial stability and many people obsessed with it. Money is the only power which helps a person in difficult time and used to serve humanity. For instance, Mr beast, he was known for his funding as he has a lot of money. Morever, the famous soccer player kante who donates all his possesion to the hospitals to serve mankind. With the help of money every impossible thing is possible.

On the other hand, some people has interest in hobbies and leisure rather than jobs. Avocation and leisure are the two main reason of calmness and pleasure as it provides mind relaxation morever, it has a majority of health benefits too. It create a sense of fressness

In conclusion, I would argue that both work and avocation has thier own benefits. As works gives you more stability in term of financial condition and hobbies and leisure gives you physical plus physiological benefits and maintain your mood fress.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You discuss both attitudes and state a position: work matters for financial stability, while hobbies support relaxation and well-being. The examples of MrBeast and Kanté attempt to support the work-and-money argument, but the link between wealth and work being the most important part of life is not fully explained. The leisure paragraph is especially under-developed: it mentions calmness and health benefits, then ends without explaining these benefits or giving an example. Your conclusion recognises value in both, but this makes your opening preference for work less clear. The response is also six words below the required minimum. Develop each side with a specific explanation or example, and make your own final position consistent throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two attitudes, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the other hand” help signal the shift between viewpoints. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven. The work paragraph moves from financial stability to serving humanity without clearly connecting those ideas, and the leisure paragraph stops after “It create a sense of fressness,” leaving the point unfinished. “Moreover” is repeated, and the conclusion largely restates the introduction rather than drawing the discussion together. Build each paragraph around one main claim, explain it in a logical sequence, and use linking expressions only where they clarify the relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “financial stability,” “leisure,” “relaxation,” and “health benefits,” and you attempt less common terms such as “avocation” and “paramount.” However, several choices or forms are inaccurate or unnatural, including “the reason of happiness,” “fressness,” and “physiological benefits” where the intended meaning may be psychological well-being. Spelling errors such as “morever,” “fianancial,” and “consquently” are noticeable, while “money is the only power” is an imprecise expression. These issues sometimes make the reader pause, although the main meaning is generally recoverable. Prefer familiar, accurate collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including the contrast in the opening sentence and the explanation beginning “as it gives you salary.” However, errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “other shows” instead of a plural verb, “some people has,” “it provide,” and “It create”; subject–verb agreement is inconsistent. There are also problems with articles and sentence construction, as in “gives you salary” and the fragment-like final sentence of the leisure paragraph. The conclusion’s “As works gives you” is not a complete, well-formed sentence. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and complete sentences before adding more complex structures.
