Student answer (Band 5.5)
There is a conflict regarding whether an individual should prioritize his work over his hobby and interest or not. While both seems essentinal to a folk but the debate remains between the persons who provide importance to any one solely.
It is evident that people who are ambitious have a higher rate of success than others.Although being determined about the career is not sufficient, you need to be focused in your work to achieve the success. That is why a group of individuals always provide more importance to their employment but not to their leisure hobbies. They find that spending hours over a hobby is nothing but a waste of time.To illustrate- Elon Musk the founder of X,Tesla said that:The outcome of combining hobby and work is not effective rather you choose to work hard for victory or you happily live with your hobby.
In contrast, some individuals provide more priority towards their hobby instead of their work because they believe it gives them pleasure.A hobby is that part of human which is carried by the person since his childhood.Pepole tend to be more emotional usually can not let go their childhood interests even under employment pressure after being adult.Somehow they tackle the work field and manage time for their hobbies. The popular hobbies are-sports either as a player or as an audience, gardening, farming, reading, singing etc.The individuals with these hobby can also achieve success if they keep working on their intersted film. For instance-he who likes to play football he can be a footballer by working on his interest.
I completely agree with the fact that people must prioritize their hobby.A hobby is an childhood habit.Since my childhood i am fond of reading books and after being an adult i am still continuing that because it gives me satisfaction. Moreover,as a law student reading more and more case can give me a high success.Hence, hobby is crucial and people should focus on their hobby from childhood so that in future it coverts to their work, then no separate field need to be selected.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You discuss both attitudes and state your own view clearly: the second body paragraph explains why some people value employment, the next presents the pleasure and personal meaning of hobbies, and the final paragraph supports prioritising hobbies. The examples of Elon Musk and your own reading habit make the response relevant. However, the work-focused argument is more developed than the hobby-focused one, which relies on broad claims about childhood interests and a brief football example. The claim that a hobby should become one’s future work is also asserted rather than examined, and the quotation attributed to Musk needs clearer relevance or support. Develop both sides more evenly and explain the reasoning behind your examples to make the discussion more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two attitudes, and a concluding paragraph that gives your opinion. Linking expressions such as “In contrast,” “Moreover,” and “Hence” help signal the direction of the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “That is why” does not fully explain how ambition leads people to dismiss hobbies, while “Somehow they tackle the work field” is difficult to connect to the preceding point. The conclusion introduces the idea that hobbies should become careers without smoothly drawing together the earlier discussion. Use clearer references and build each paragraph around a sequence of claim, explanation, and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “ambitious,” “determined,” “employment pressure,” and “satisfaction,” and the main ideas remain understandable. There are also attempts at less common phrasing, but inaccurate word choice and collocation sometimes make the meaning awkward: “provide more priority towards,” “work field,” and “interested film” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “essentinal,” “Pepole,” and “intersted” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural combinations rather than translating phrases directly. For example, use “give priority to a hobby,” “workplace” or “career,” and “pursue an interest.” Proofreading spelling and word forms would make your vocabulary more effective.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession clause in “Although being determined about the career is not sufficient…” and a conditional structure in “if they keep working…”. However, some grammatical errors occur across the response and can make sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “both seems” instead of “both seem,” “an childhood habit” instead of “a childhood habit,” and “reading more and more case can give me” where the noun needs a plural form and the sentence needs clearer structure. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly where sentences run directly into the next one. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals, and punctuation, and revise complex sentences to ensure each clause is complete.
