Student answer (Band 5.5)
Work and hobbies are the present issues of the present time all over the globe because both played a pivotal role in social life. Work was being most important by some people rather than anything else. Meanwhile, other give more attention to their hobbies and co-curricular activities.
Firstly, it is widely acknowledged that money is being most important thing for survival. So, in order to earn money, work is cruical. That is why, in the region of 70% people give their whole attentions to work to meet the family finances and for the upbringing of their children. So, rise in inflation gives rise to the complete loss of their hobbies and activites. For example, some people are very fond of playing cricket and are most popular player in their teenage but due to financial crises, people don't manage time for their favourite activities.
On the other side, some people have well adopted business from their ancestors. So, they don't have any responsibilities for earning livelihood. They have enough time about their leisure games and other activities. This kind of people mostly focuses on their health and diet in order to stay healthy. Also, exercise bridges the gap between obesity. For example, running 10miles a day is far beneficial for health. It mitigate the body's internal disorders.
In conclusion, I think that work is being regarded as most important thing in middle class society due to poverty issues. Paying more attentions to work has some disastrous effects. A direct consequence is that it would completely loss in earning money and will suffer in several diseases.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You discuss both attitudes: the first body paragraph explains why people prioritise work and income, while the second describes people with more time for leisure. However, the response only partially fulfils the task because the second attitude is presented mainly as a consequence of inherited business and fewer financial responsibilities, rather than explaining why some people are more enthusiastic about hobbies than their jobs. Your own opinion appears in the conclusion, but it is not fully clear: you say work is important for the middle class, then mention its harmful effects without stating how you think work and leisure should be balanced. Develop each viewpoint with a clearer explanation and relevant examples, and state your position consistently.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs addressing different groups, and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the point about inherited businesses leads quickly to health and diet, and the link between exercise and “bridges the gap between obesity” is difficult to follow. Connectors such as “So,” “That is why,” and “On the other side” are repetitive or imprecise, and some references, including “this kind of people,” are unclear. Use topic sentences that directly frame each attitude, then develop each point in a logical sequence with more precise linking and referencing.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “survival,” “financial crises,” “leisure,” “upbringing,” and “inflation.” These choices show an effort to discuss work, family finances, and recreation. However, inaccurate word choice and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make ideas difficult to interpret. For example, “work was being most important” and “complete loss of their hobbies” do not express the intended meanings naturally, while “bridges the gap between obesity” is unclear. There are also spelling errors such as “cruical” and “activites,” and some repetition of “important” and “activities.” Build accuracy by learning common word partnerships and checking spelling, rather than choosing more elaborate phrases that do not fit the context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use some complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “in order to,” and “due to,” and the overall meaning is often recoverable. However, the range is limited and attempts at longer structures frequently contain errors. Examples include “Work was being most important,” “other give more attention,” and “70% people give their whole attentions,” which show problems with verb forms, agreement, articles, and plural forms. The conclusion also contains faulty constructions in “it would completely loss in earning money” and “will suffer in several diseases.” These errors can make the intended relationships difficult to understand. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses, checking tense, subject–verb agreement, and sentence structure.
