Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people regard work as the most important thing in life and have little interest in anything else. Other people are more enthusiastic about their hobbies more than their work.People who regard work as the most important thing are sincere to their work they put their all efforts in theor work to show their skills. They work hard day and night to put their business on track to get success in their work. For example a teaseller work hard to sold his tea and a shopkeeper work hard to sell his items to become successfull in his bussiness. This kind of people show less interest in other think because their work is everything for them.
On the other hand people who take less interest in work and more interesred in their hobbies and leisurees. Those people donot work hard and take more interest in their hobbies also take place in oue society they go after their hobbies to fulfil their hobbies. For example if a person hobbie to play cricket for hia country he worked hard day and night to represent thir country.people have different hobbies according to thir interest.
In my opinion both were doing great according to thir interest. In my opinion going after your hobbies is great idea in this way you should earn money as well as fulfill your hobbie too.I never said that people who work haed os not a good idea but going afrer your hobbies is goog to.That is my opinion in this regard of discussion

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both attitudes and give a personal view, so the response is relevant to the question. The first body paragraph explains that work-focused people invest effort in their jobs, while the second mentions hobbies such as playing cricket; your opinion favours pursuing hobbies while also earning money. However, these ideas are only briefly explained, and the examples of a tea seller and shopkeeper do not show clearly why work should be the most important part of life. Your position is also somewhat unclear because you say both attitudes are “doing great” before favouring hobbies. The response is 225 words, below the 250-word minimum; the 26 words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop each viewpoint with a clearer reason and a more specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each attitude, and a concluding opinion. The transitions “On the other hand” and “In my opinion” help signal changes in focus, and the reader can generally follow the contrast between work and leisure. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: several points are placed together without explaining how they connect, and the examples do not always clearly support the main claim. Some linking is repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “In my opinion,” “work,” and “hobbies.” Improve the flow by giving each paragraph a clear topic sentence, then developing one reason and example before moving to the next point. Use pronouns and linking phrases carefully to make references clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “work,” “skills,” “business,” “hobbies,” and “represent,” and phrases such as “day and night” help convey effort. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make the writing less clear or natural. Examples include “more enthusiastic about their hobbies more than their work,” “take place in our society,” and “fulfil their hobbies”; these do not express the intended ideas idiomatically. Spelling errors such as “successfull,” “bussiness,” and “interesred” are also noticeable. Build a wider set of accurate phrases for discussing priorities, job commitment, and leisure, and check spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range of structures is limited, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “a teaseller work hard to sold his tea” has problems with agreement and verb form, while “if a person hobbie to play cricket … he worked hard” does not form a correct conditional sentence. The opening also joins sentences without a space after “work.” Practise accurate present-tense descriptions and conditional patterns, and separate complete sentences with appropriate punctuation. More reliable control of these basic forms would make your ideas easier to follow.
