Student answer (Band 5.0)
Work plays an essential role in our lives , The development of interest in a jobs makes it easy for some people to perform their duty. while many individuals have interest in other fileds rather on which they are working .In my opinion , always do the the jobs according to the interest it gives you internal piece of satistafction. It helps to focous on your goals and gets the achievement in a filed you are interested . in this way you will not get fedup with your work . I want to add my own example here, when i didnt get my addmission in MBBS many peers suggested me to change my field and get the admission in othee field and quit the medical but at that point i realises i have a interest only in medical studies it is wasted to study in other fields in which you dont have any kind if interest and if i persue with other field i also havw to work in my non interested field where whatever i have achieved it would not give me the comfort which my own interested fields gives me . so i chose physiotherapy that would help me to work according to my interest . In contrast those who does not give the importance to their work and are more interested to spend their most of time in their hobbies should find the way to do their work acvording to their hobbies . they should find the ways in their interest in this way they will find the way to do the both things proficiently . in conclusion , giving the importance to your work helps you to make your status better instead of spending leisure time in your hobbies if you want to do the hobbies then make a path in which you can do both things.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear personal preference for choosing work that matches one’s interests, and the physiotherapy example makes this view more specific. You also refer to people who prioritise hobbies and suggest they should seek work connected to those interests, so both attitudes are present. However, the discussion is uneven: the first attitude receives most of the explanation, while the reasons someone might value leisure more than work are not explored in depth. The claim that work should fit a person’s interests is repeated, but its wider implications and supporting evidence remain limited. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits and drawbacks of each attitude separately, then make your comparison and final position more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is an identifiable line of thought: you introduce work and interests, give a personal example, contrast this with people who prioritise hobbies, and conclude with advice. The example is relevant, but the response is presented as one long paragraph, making the shift between the two attitudes and the conclusion difficult to follow. Linking expressions such as “In contrast” and “in conclusion” help signal movement, yet connections within sentences are often unclear, and ideas are repeated rather than developed in a clear sequence. Use separate paragraphs for the introduction, each attitude, and the conclusion. Within them, organise each point as a reason followed by an explanation or example, and use referencing and transitions more precisely.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “interest,” “hobbies,” “goals,” “achievement,” and “leisure time,” and the personal example communicates your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the reader work to understand the point. For example, “internal piece of satistafction” appears to mean “inner satisfaction,” while “make my status better” is not a natural way to describe career progress. Spelling errors such as “fileds,” “focous,” and “persue” also reduce clarity. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing career fulfilment, work-life balance, and personal interests, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt longer sentences to explain your reasoning and tell your personal story, but complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For instance, “when i didnt get my addmission … many peers suggested me” has problems with tense, sentence boundaries, and the construction after “suggested.” There are also errors in subject–verb agreement and verb forms, as in “those who does not give,” as well as inconsistent capitalisation and punctuation. Some basic sentence patterns are understandable, but control is not consistent across the response. Practise separating long ideas into complete sentences, then check tense consistency, agreement, articles, and punctuation before adding more complex clauses.
