Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often debated whether numerous individuals favour jobs are crucial insted of other things while for other hobbies and leisure are more fascinating then their work. This essay will discuss both views before giving my opinion.
To begin with, people supporting the idea being employed is vital due to several reasons. One of the prominent reasons is responsibility. To explain it, many worker working to fulfilling their basic needs such as food, shelter, clothes , health and education for that purpose job holder need focus more on their work rather than interesting their hobbies. Likewise, get more opportunities is another reason of it. For instant, worker constantly focused and engaging in their work so they get more opportunities such as promotion and increase remunetion which creats more path to success in life.
On the other hand, some individuals avocated that hobbies are intrested than jods because of some reasons. Big goals is main reason of it. To elaborating it, many peoples have their different kind of hobbies from which they can achieve big success in their life and do not want to work under presure to achieve goals. Furthermore, second factor is less financial pressure. To clarify it, people who already wealthy so dose not need to work are more intresting in their hobbies like traveling, gaming and other things.
To wrap it, working is more vital then interest in anything because of responsibility and way to get more opportunities while other supporting hobbies are interest than work . In my concern, work and hobbies both plays important role on their own because a productive person needs job and have interest to spent their timeon hobbies to get fresh.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both attitudes and give a personal view, so the response addresses the main parts of the prompt. The first position is supported with reasons such as meeting basic needs and gaining promotion, while the second is illustrated through hobbies, personal goals and the example of wealthy people. However, several points remain general or unclear: the link between hobbies and achieving “big success” is not explained, and the final opinion that both work and hobbies matter is brief and does not fully reconcile the earlier claim that work is more vital. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or a specific example, and state your position consistently throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two attitudes, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “To wrap it” helps readers follow the discussion. Within paragraphs, however, progression is sometimes mechanical, with repeated frames such as “To explain it” and “To clarify it.” Some connections are also unclear: “Big goals” is introduced as a reason for preferring hobbies, but the explanation does not clearly show how it supports that view. The conclusion’s shift from work being more vital to both being important could be better prepared. Use more precise links between claims and explanations, and make the final position follow logically from the discussion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “responsibility,” “basic needs,” “promotion,” “financial pressure,” and “productive person.” These choices show some range beyond very basic language. However, inaccurate word forms, spelling and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning harder to follow, as in “numerous individuals favour jobs are crucial,” “more fascinating then,” and “increase remunetion.” Several phrases are also vague, including “big goals” and “other things.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe people as prioritising work, and refer to career advancement or higher pay. More precise vocabulary would make your arguments clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including explanations introduced by “because” and “so,” and the essay’s main ideas can generally be understood. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement and articles frequently affect clarity. For example, “many worker working to fulfilling their basic needs” lacks a correctly formed main verb, while “work and hobbies both plays important role” has agreement and article problems. The opening sentence also combines clauses in a way that makes the relationship between the two views difficult to follow. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking agreement and verb forms in each sentence.
