Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, people gave first priority to their work rather then the other leisure activities. Some of them prefer to gave important to their hobbies and their leisure interests. I believe that people should enjoy their life and gave important to a activities, In which they find their happeness.

Globally, individuals prefer to gave more important to their work and lost their time of enjoyment. They always in rush to earn money never stop for a movement and acknowledge what they achive and what they lost to achive thir goal. Becsuse of that they forget to enjoy the happiness of their life and not enjoy precious movements. So, I think they need to persue their happiness and follow their hoobies or leisure interests as a carrer.

However, some people end up with nothing after following their passiones. So, they feel underconfidence and also waste their life to follow their interested leisure activities. At that point, some of lost hope and never follow their drems and even they also know as a example, by the rest of the world. But , I believe that people never feel down when they loose and take that lose as leasson to be more perfect in their field. For example, the Thomes Edition, if they not persue their dream to cerate bulb after they failed continuously then today's world liveing in the darkness. So, in my opinion people never gave more regard to their work than their life, because life and time is the most important and valuabel thing in the world, so they need to spend very wisely.

In conclusion, people should less focus to their work and gave more important to follow their hobbies or leisure activities. So they enjoy their life and spend their time for themseleves.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear personal view that life should not be dominated by work, and you include a relevant example about Thomas Edison to support perseverance in pursuing an interest. However, the discussion is only partial: the work-focused attitude is described mainly as people rushing to earn money, while the reasons someone might value work—such as purpose, security, or responsibility—are not explored. The opposing attitude is also presented mostly as pursuing hobbies as a career, rather than enjoying leisure alongside employment. Some claims, such as people who follow passions “end up with nothing,” are not explained or balanced. Develop both attitudes more evenly and make your position clearer and more consistent.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an introduction, separate body paragraphs, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also use signposts such as “However,” “For example,” and “In conclusion.” Nevertheless, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the paragraph beginning “However” moves from failure in leisure pursuits to losing hope, then to Edison, without clearly connecting each point. Some linking phrases are repetitive or do not express the relationship accurately, and references such as “some of lost hope” are unclear. Organise each body paragraph around one attitude, then explain and illustrate it in a clear sequence. Use linking words selectively and make pronoun references explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “leisure interests,” “precious moments,” “pursue their happiness,” and “follow their dreams.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts of the message difficult to understand. Examples include “gave important to,” “lost their time of enjoyment,” “underconfidence,” and “take that lose as leasson.” Repeated use of “important” and “hobbies” also limits precision. Build a bank of natural topic phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully. For instance, use “prioritise work,” “make time for leisure,” and “learn from failure” to express your ideas more accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer sentences, including a conditional example about Edison. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences hard to follow. Verb forms are often incorrect, as in “people gave first priority” and “if they not persue”; articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “gave important to a activities.” The sentence beginning “They always in rush” lacks a verb, while the Edison sentence has an unclear conditional structure. Practise forming accurate present-tense statements and complete clauses, then build longer sentences with clear subject–verb relationships. Careful proofreading for tense, articles, and punctuation would improve clarity.
